Strange Behavior with Microsoft UI Automation

Abbie Taylor

I just downloaded the latest NVDA and checked the box in the advanced setting to enable Microsoft UI Automation. Since then, I’ve noticed that in Outlook, links don’t appear as links and aren’t clickable. I know this because I subscribe to some blogs, and the notification emails I receive contain the links to the post and other related links. When I unchecked that box, the links appeared as they normally would. Is that the way it’s supposed to work for some reason? If so, it’s not a problem, since I’ve created a configuration profile and can enable UI automation there. I would just like to know. Thanks.
