Can you not change its priority in the symbols settings? I know it works the other way as I turned off the greater than and less than symbols as a long time user of Usenet, it was really annoying to have them spoken at the start of quoted lines.

Yes, that's confusing. I noticed the same. When turning the symbol level to all they got announced. An option to get this bullet symbols spoken would be nice.

I find that often NVDA does not read the numbers or bullets that were produced automatically in MS Office documents or e-mails. Is there an NVDA preference I need to select to read the numbers of an outline that was automatically produced in Office?
