Use the dictionary to correct the improper
expansion of abbreviations. This isn't NVDA doing anything. It’s the
designers of whatever synthesizer you are using who told the synthesizer to
speak abbreviations as you are hearing them.

Hi Folks, I am using nvda 2019.1 with win 7. Sometimes nvda interprets things wrongly. For instance; ---drive instead of doctor, ---suite instead of street, ---in the call number of a book, “aud” is spoken as “Australian dollars”.
I have done nothing with pronounciation or dictionaries. Suggestions? Thanks, Monte
