Re: group by

Why are you doing all of that routing and clicking? You can use the
normal keyboard navigation just fine. The only tricky part is that once
you get into the view ribbon and then wherever you need to be in that, I
forget and I can't check at the moment, the menu is in two columns. So
you have to arrow right/left to get to the column with "nothing" or
"none" in it as the sort option. This never does seem to stick for me
though.

Some of you may have noticed that in your download folder the
formatting has changed. When we upgraded to 1903 of Windows they
joyously gave us folders that show when we downloaded. It groups them
by today, yesterday last week earlier in the year…

If you find this annoying like I had there are two ways based on
windows 10 pro and home.

Pro

1. Turn on screen review
2. Go to the top of the screen shift numpad 7 you should hear file
home share view
3.  Use numpad 6 to get to view and press capslock numpad enter
4. Use numpad 6 to get to group by and press caps lock numpad enter
5. Arrow down to nothing and enter

Your folder grouping should be gone.

Home

1. Turn on screen review
2. Go to the top of the screen shift numpad 7 you should hear file
home share view
3.  Use numpad 6 to get to view and press caps lock numpad enter

Now it gets fun. You need to use numpad 1 or 3 to find a blank space
on the screen. Then you press numpad divide to open the context menu

Arrow up or down until you hear group by and enter

Arrow down to nothing and enter

It should be back to normal.
