She is not aware of the numpad outside of the numpad zero as an NVDA key. So when she presses NVDA+down arrow it is only reading a single line of text.

Hi

If she is using the numeric keypad with the down arrow key and the nvda key it will not work.

It needs to be the nvda key + down arrow key if using a desk top lay out or the nvda key + A if using the lap top lay out.

I cannot find anything in NVDA to adjust hotkeys.

She is sure she is hitting up and not down arrow?

Is she using the insert key on the number pad and the down arrow from the 4 cursor keys?

If she is using the caps lock key instead of the number pad, that might be the problem.

I have a friend in her late 70’s trying to learn NVDA. For some reason when she presses NVDA+down arrow, it reads a single line of text and then stops. How does she correct this?
