Yes, Gene, I thought of that and tried it with no effect.  Tyler, it is  my husband's keyboard and it works for him.  I am used to using an ancient laptop with JAWS is why I am questioning the keyboard.  No special anti-virus.  Thanks all, I will keep working on it.
