This is a good question, and I do agree that asking what NVDA's equivalent of the rotor on iOS is perfectly acceptable - the Rotor is a screenreader function rather than a system function (it is part of VoiceOver) so that is reasonable. NVDA does have some touch support and we are working on improving this. In general touch support on Windows isn't quite as polished as it is on your smart phone or tablet - primarily because Windows was designed as a keyboard and mouse driven interface, and most programs are still designed that way. The iPhone and Android were designed as touch devices, and so apps developed for those platforms are designed to be controlled that way (and so in contrast, mobile apps, don't tend to have as good an experience using a keyboard as you would have controlling a Windows program with the keyboard). I must admit, I'm not sure about how to select and copy text with a touch screen on Windows. Kind regards Quentin.
