NVDA and Word

Hi guys:

Am new to this list I think;

My question relates to NVDA and word.

I notice whenst reading cases for law school,

NVDA will say “footnote area” and then say “document” when it returns to the actual document being read.

Is there a way to have NVDA either:

Skip the footnote portions and continue reading original doc,
or,

Is there a way to group all the footnotes together so that NVDA can go from one to another?

Please advise as you like.
