When you enter an expression to be evaluated, it can’t contain a variable such as x or y or z. It can’t solve an equation. At the time I wrote this material, I didn’t find any statistical functions. Google may have added more capability over the past ten years.
In the 1980’s Freedom Scientific was a company based in Arlington Texas. It had a self-voicing engineering spreadsheet. It sat down and used it for about 30 minutes. It could solve equations. It could differentiate and integrate. The Scientific part of the company name was meaningful. Then another company bought it, and didn’t market this engineering spread sheet application. Too bad!

I didn't even know that Google can be used as a calculator! Can it solve equations though? But I'm quite sure that it can't really perform any statistical functions...please correct me if I'm wrong...
