It is possible that eventaully the update will just install anyway, however there is a button to activate in settings/general that lets you choose to not update firefox automatically (it does *check8 for updates automatically, but does not install them it seems). It’s lucky I checked this button, too, as apparently my update to v.89 already downloaded, and was just waiting for me to restart the browser to install. There was a “discard” button, which I activated, cancelling the update.

Firefox automatically updates itself, Theres no way to stop it from doing so anymore

So, how long before we all get v.89 unless we take steps not to update. Don't want to be caught unawares before this happens.

I've tried both w/the NVDA beta as well as the stable version, folks. It's broken on my system, & that includes w/Narrator & Jaws also.
