Re: Training Materials

Hi Bob,

I'm the one you need to help with this :)

We've just recently updated the Basic Training to ensure it is up to date.  We considered offering a discount to those who did purchase the original version back in 2016 / 2017, and in the end we decided to offer a straight 50% discount to everyone, and it's still on sale in our shop: https://www.nvaccess.org/product/basic-training-for-nvda-ebook/

In uploading the new version, I made one small error during the process, which broke the download for some users who had previously purchased earlier versions of the material.  I do apologise for that.

I've just emailed you with your version of Basic Training for NVDA.  If you are interested in the newer edition, we have it on sale as noted, at the previous link.

The zip file includes the module in as a Microsoft Word .docx document, as a .html web page, as an .ePub eBook, and as a Kindle .kfx book.  If you've got a Kindle device (or use the Kindle app for PC or on your phone), you should be able to download that version and open it in that.

Kind regards, and apologies for the inconvenience.

Quentin.

Hello, everyone.

I’m not quite sure where this message belongs, so I apologize if it’s in the wrong place.

In 2019, I purchased the training materials from the online shop. One purchase was for the NVDA basic training, and the other was for training books for Microsoft word and Microsoft excel.

I had downloaded all of the manuals to my old phone. I ended up having to sell the phone because of financial issues. On the shop website, I’m given the option to download the books for Microsoft word in for Microsoft XL, but not for the basic training manual.

I was thinking about just re-investing in the basic training manual, but through the Kindle app this time…

I have two questions pertaining to this:
1) Are the manual still relevant and updated considering that the original publication date was in 2016?
2) Why is the download link not available to re-download the NVDA basic training manual or is that just a one time download?

Thank you so much for any and all help concerning this.
