I would think you could change this with the NVDA
speech dictionary. Write the word to be spoken as you wich in the
pronounced as field.

It occurs on my machine as well. I suspect that somewhere "unch" is set up as shorthand for "unchanged" and since those four characters precede the "ecky" we're getting Unchanged-ecky. If I change the synthesizer to eSpeak it changes to saying "Unchecky". I can live with "unchanged ecky" simply because the David voice is very much
