Hi Ken

The audio ducking feature is only in the installer version of NVDA and not in the portable version of NVDA. It was put into the NVDA 2016.1 release.

I just tried it with the audio ducking feature and it worked with speechhub.

Is when you are having problems with speechhub is it when you first boot up the computer? I have 6 machines here all with speechhub on them, the 5 of them which are duel core machines load with speechhub every time with the correct voices, but they are not the intensive ones. I have not tried it with the mary voices for a while.

Now and again on the quad core machine when it starts up, it will default back to the E speak voice. I think this is a timing issue
With the installer version of NVDA I use the alt + ctrl + the letter N to restart NVDA then it comes up with the voice that was chosen. Isaac is the developer of speechhub and i think he is on the list still.
I can pass on the details to him.

Hi listers ken here was fiddling around on synthesizers dialog on NVDA and and didn’t find the ducking option in the dialog.  also now another issue is coming up.  I also changed synthsizers to a speech hub cross platform voice and I noticed that the NVDA isn’t saving configuration it’s going back to the Espeak default.  have switched  back to sapi 5 and now I notice that it’s still reverting back to default.  screen reader keeps shutting down too when I do some things.  why isn’t it holding configuration or ducking even though my computer shows save configuration is checked and am using current version it shows that on programs and features installed on 2/22/2016  should  I uninstall and reinstall a fresh copy from scratch?
