I use say all to read e-mails. I’m using a different program than you for e-mail but if you do so, it will become so second nature after doing so perhaps for only a few days, that it will take no time that matters and you won’t even think about it anymore.
I doubt there is any setting you can change. There is a setting to automatically read a page when in browse mode but that is on by default.

Sometimes NVDA only reads the first line of an email in Outlook 2019 desktop but sometimes the same email will be read entirely.
