Have you followed The Most Basic Troubleshooting Steps for Suspected NVDA Issues?

You need to eliminate the possible involvement of add-ons, among other things.

You do not say whether you've restarted your machine, and I do mean using the Restart power option, or any of several other preliminary diagnostic steps.  You need to go through those before it can be determined whether NVDA itself has "gone wonky" or if something else may have.
