Re: Kindle desktop reader and NVDA

Using NVDA 2022.1B4 and Kindle REader 1.36.  I am able to read most books in my library, but one particular book (The Hobbit 75th anniversary collection) does not allow me to navigate through the text field, though the Kindle built-in TTS works.

Christopher, what version of NVDA are you running? Can you be very specific about how NVDA is behaving with the Kindle app?

I’m using beta 4 of NVDA 2022.1 with version 1.36 of the Kindle for PC app and I am able to navigate the text area of a book.

Subject: [nvda] Kindle desktop reader and NVDA

I just opened up the Kindle desktop reader with NVDA.  There was an update of the reader, and now I don't seem to be able to use normal navigation in the book text field.  I'm wondering if others have experienced this and have found a way to restore this functionality?

And yes, I suspect this is Kindle not NVDA-related, but I'm hoping for a fix, since I've a class that is depending on being able to read this.
