It’s odd as I can’t find this particular edition in the Kindle store. However, if you’re a Bookshare member you can legally download the book from the Bookshare site. As an aside I understand that you may have purchased the book and, after failing to read it following the Kindle update, you may have assumed that the update broke all navigation access from all of your books and I do want to be sensitive to that possibility.

I can't answer the first question, as I purchased the book yesterday and Kindle updated automatically when I opened it to read the book. As for the second part of the message, yes, it probably would have been helpful, but it didn't occur to me, because I was unaware of the issue surrounding advanced typesetting, so I didn't know to look for it.
