Locked Re: apostrophe pronunciation

NVDA doesn't have a restore defaults button in that dialog, but this will work:
1. Find your user configuration directory. If you're using an installed version of NVDA, Pressing Windows+r and typing %appdata%\nvda should put you there.
2. Delete symbols-en.dic.
3. Restart NVDA.

I did try and change the pronunciation of ticketwo apostrophe and bang two exclamation  which is what I am used to here in the UK. Mayb maybe it’s something I’ve messed up there. Is there a quick way to return to defaults and try again?

Hi all, After installation NVDA on my new laptop and changing some of the setting I have hit a problem and can’t work out what I’ve done or how to undo it.

When writing text into a document and insert an apostrophe NVDA pronounces the word and the letter at the end separately. For example, haven’t is pron=unced haven t, or couldn’t is pronounced couldn t. any advice would be gratefully received. Many thanks

Brian
