Re: UI Automation breaking column and title header reading in Excel

Hi D C,

Thanks for raising this.  It is an issue we are aware of and have recorded here: https://github.com/nvaccess/nvda/issues/13721

I don't have a timeline for a fix, other than to say for now, the workaround would be to NOT enable that setting where you need to use column and row headers in Excel.

Kind regards

Quentin.

I enabled UI automation when available in Excel, and the reading of defined columns and Roe headers has been silenced though it is still checked in documents settings  for that profile. Yes, the work sheet in question is tagged propperly, and works just fine when disabling UI aumation.

Could somebody verify this is not just me with the issue before I escalate it, please.

Windows 10 21H2 (x64) build 19044.1889

NVDA 22.03 beta 2

Thanks,

D C
