In the old days, when screen readers all relied totally on the traditional off screen model, it not only mattered about the theme, but even if a window was maximised. Even that doesn’t matter so much any more.
JAWS and Window-Eyes both suggested the standard or classic themes of the day.

I have never seen any choice of Windows theme have any effect on any screen reader. Same goes for browser themes, too.
