Why are we stuck with only one brouser that will read
progress bars/? It looks like nvda still has some work to do to
make more brousers more accessable. I don't like firefox because
it's way to slow. Webie will alwaysbe the bestbrouser for the
blind. Why is it so hard to make brousers that read the progress
bars? If we are going to change brousers then we need to have

That's why I say that for many purposes other than
browsing, Firefox is a better choice. I don't want almost everything
displayed as web pages from settings to history. I don't know how it is
for sighted people, but for blind people, this is somewhat cumbersome.
Also, awhile back, Chrome stopped honoring quick browsing commands in the
settings interface which is a web page interface. Has this been
corrected? What this means is that you can't, for example, make a change
and then use the letter b to jump to the done button. You have to tab
through all the rest of the settings.
It may be that for a lot of browsing, Chrome is
faster or somewhat faster. I haven't compared, thogh I've seen a few
people say it is. But one reason I still use firefox as my main browser is
to avoid having so many interfaces be rendered as web pages.

Do you mean download with Firefox instead of
Chrome? It sounds as though the progress bar isn't accessible in
Chrome. How much does it matter? If it's a long download, checking
off and on should give you a pretty good idea of whether it is getting near the
end. In addition, to hear progress bars when downloading, you have to
leave the computer in the download window which means that you can't use the
computer while the download is in progress. It seems more trouble than
it's worth.

I don't doubt you in the least, but it's clear that
I'm doing something wrong apparently. One finger gesutres work maybe 75% of the
time, but add any more fingers, forget it!
If it helps, this is a Microsoft Surface 3. not a
pro, just a plain old Surface 3. Also beware, not a surface 4. Just a 3 running
Win10 Home 64 bit.
I should add that I've tried with Narrator, and
though I don't understand all the narrator gestures, I can! tell you that they
do seem to consistently work, just not with NVDA, nor JFW.

I have a windows 8.1 machine and NVDA touch gestures do indeed work just fine. There's one gesture that isn't in the documentation, (don't remember which one, though I did report it here), but otherwise, I can work with the gestures just fine. I don't use them often, but they do come in handy for certain tasks, or if I don't feel like turning on my wireless keyboard for just a couple quick and simple things.

Hi! Thanks for help. I tested that version and it is really great. I also have an updates about 4-th version of this software. When pressing enter on that menu buton, we should scrill down with arrow keys. NVDA doesn't reads the menus, but it moves. it depends in which context we are using that button. Sometimes there is one button, which ic open. Otherwise, When I try to create a autotext, I press autotext menu and then press down arrow once. Bingo! I am there and then pressing enter activates the item. After that, tab key is working for navigation just fine.

You only need to use the app to download the epub it should appear in your documents folder I think its under ebooks or something I forgot where exactly anyway once you find where the extracted epub is you can use codex on it and then you can make that into any file you want to read text, html, word even kindle.

Commands such as control o, control n, etc. that
bypass menus and ribbons often work. Shortcuts that rely on menus
generally don't work in ribbon programs. And, as I said, the kind of short
cuts such as control o, control n, etc. aren't actually shortcuts, even though
most people call them short cuts. They are accellerator
commands.

One of my textbooks is an Adobe Digital Edition, and it seems that I have to use Adobe's Digital Edition reader to access it. I can see the table of contents, but I can't access anything beyond that.
