Could you please explain this need? How about simply pressing control to

For example, if you turn it all the way off, you don't know if the page is loaded. But if you leave it on, it will read the whole page, if you let it. You could have it configured to read only the first two or three lines, so that you know something happened. Just an idea.

Trouble with nwda with Microsoft store
Alexander Masic
Hi.
I'm not a huge consumer in Microsoft store. But today it was time for, i would not say debute. however not far from that. And the reason is KNFB reader wich they those days is been selling for 19,99 USD and 196 SEK, and who can rezist that???????? However I'M running windows 10 developer build and latest nvda. And i have trouble to do my purchase, I found the app, and when Microsoft store prompted me to confirm my order., nothing happen. i press and press that botton wich says buy knfb.reader 196 sek. ochr something like that, but nothing happend. However i turn off NVDA and use Narrator instead. and made the same thing again. and then i come to a field were i nead to confirm my purchase by entering password. for my microsoft accound. But i was not able to se that with nvda. so it is good if some one would have a look at this.

No, I’m afraid not. The Mac has it’s own screen reader called Voiceover. NVDA is only used for windows and windows tablets.
From: nvda@nvda.groups.io [mailto:nvda@nvda.groups.io] On Behalf Of N K Shackelford
Can a Mac user access one's Mac computer using NVDA? I have a couple of friends who have a Mac, and one has "Snowlepard." Not familiar with it, but I was suggesting that he get NVDA. I decided I'd better ask about this in case one cannot use NVDA with a Mac.
Thanks,
Nance

Our government and governmental and non-governmental organizations, from our radio-television broadcaster, to my son's school staff use Telegram for their announcements. Yes, I understand the problem, and therefore I've shared the link among my sighted friends too, asking to sign. Let's hope the devs will reconsider their previous stand, and do something about Telegram... Ciao, Ollie

Brian's Mail list account <bglists@...>
The mac OS has everything different in that nvda uses types of accessible interfaces only found in real Windows, Mac and Linux and others have their own ways of doing things and hence it has completely different screenreaders to interface with them.

That doesn't mean however that a mac cannot be used
by a blind person.
I do it every single day in my job with my audio
production work, and encourage anyone who would like to know more to write me
off list.

Yikes! Snowleopard? That's pretty dang
old!
Absolutely not! There is a built in screen reader
called Voiceover which needs to be used, and is 1? hundred! percent
accessible.
I'm actually primarily a mac user myself, and even
train people on the use of the Mac.
Get with me off list if you'd like some more
clarification.

try to say this to iranian people, where Telegram is the most used app in their country. Their government use telegram to communicate and give announces to people; blind teachers can't communicate or participate with their student or other teachers just because all of them use Telegram. So I think that, als if developers are blind in the figurative sense of the word, we should try. 2017-02-28 15:43 GMT+01:00, Mallard <mallard@kimabe.eu>:

Re: Using Adobe Digital Edition Reader with NVDA
Mallard <mallard@...>
Hello Amber,

That's pretty strange. I do use Adobe Digital Editions to read both epub and pdf books, and I do see the book content all along. The only unpleasant side to it is that, although it keeps notifying the presence of links, clicking on them doesn't take me to the relevant position in the book. What format is the book you're trying to read? What version of Windows and of Adobe Digital are you running? You can contact me off-list if you wish, so we don't clutter this list with back and forth messages. We can then report back when we manage to solve the issue. Ciao, hth, Ollie
