Re: Small problem With NVDA andKNFB Reader

You could set up a profile which is activated when KNFB is running.  In it you could put NVDA into sleep mode.

Cheers

Re: Windows 10 Mail Question

Gene New Zealand <hurrikennyandopo@...>

Hi

When the first open mail it puts you in the message area. This is where all your messages are and you can use the down or up arrow keys.

find a email you want to read then press the enter key on it. It will then come to the message body.

here you can arrow down or up or use the nvda key + down arrow key to read the email. When finished just press the escape key and it will put you back where all your messages are.

I just tried it and that is what i done.

Maybe check to see also nvda is in object navigation modeuse the nvda key + the number 1 on the numeric key pad to do this. It might not make a difference but in some programs it does.

Re: New Sounds?

Hi,

The sound will play as soon as search suggestions appear and disappear. This is done for consistent user experience across search fields in different universal apps. In fact, I will make sure that, in the future, you’ll be able to toggle this, and also make it so that you won’t require the add-on to hear these sounds.

Cheers,

Joseph

Nothing in NVDA, but most browsers have this feature. Also, Firefox has the No Script add on which blocks all Adobe and Flash scripts from running and also blocks most spyware and adware as well.

Any attempt to run the latest installer will end in a circular error of windows error in an entry point in a dll file.
On amd machines it will simply crash and stop working.

I am given to understand you can still get onto the web site but the desktop client has stopped working.
This coincides with the changes where you can no longer use links to the public folder as a whole, for graphics etc or for file sharing, which I understand was seen as abuse.

Hey guys, gotta question.

I was just using my PC after installing the update which just came out for Windows 10 Essentials. I noticed that now when I open my start screen, or if I start typing in the search box, etc, I hear little pop sounds. These are not sounds as if my sound drivers are messing up. These sound like little sound effects that were very intentionally there.

I don't hear these when I use JFW, so I'm thinking this is something in this update? That is really really cool, if that be the case. I really like them. Nice touch!
