Re: the list
Brian's Mail list account <bglists@...>
In my experience several things go wrong. Firstly, the server you post through can get on a black list or the place youu are, like virgin or bloggs.com can be seen as unreachable. also inactivity by you can be seen to mean you are not using it. In all cases some list servers drop your account. I don't know about this one, but certainly I've had this happen on yahoo and freelists in the past.

Re: accessible antivirus
Felix G.
Hi! I use Emsisoft Antimalware. It's fast, scans for potentially unwanted programs (such as adware) in addition to general malware like trojans and worms, and has, to my mind, the best behavior analysis around, spotting backdoors from how they behave even if the file itself is unknown, to provide just one example. This goes far beyond what is usually referred to as detection by heuristics. Accessibility-wise most things I need are in the tab order but I find myself resorting to flat review sometimes.Greetings, Chris <chrismedley@...> schrieb am Mo., 13. März 2017 um 21:25 Uhr:

I'm sorry, when I replied, I thought someone else
had sent these comments. I think my e-mail program may have gotten behind
and read the wrong name. That information is important and completely
changes what we can infer. Please include details even if you don't know
if they are important when reporting problems. Everything you reported in
your last message was important. As I said, this seems very likely perhaps
definitely to be a Chrome problem. I hhope it has been reported. You
may want to report it as well. we'll see if we get any indications
that others have already done so.

It did not happen with the previous Chrome versions. I have used the latest
update since its release. I have detected the problem on the given pages. I do
not use other pages with flash contents. The only thing I know is that it has
never happened before. It is yesterday that I encountered it. But, what is
interesting about all is that when I use the arrows, I can find the embedded
object area. It will not work for me only when I try to get it by O, or shift

It appears, then, that the embedded objects should
be able to be found on these pages by using the arrow keys. This appears
to be the Chrome developers, breaking something related to accessibility roughly
on schedule. they seem to break something about every six or eight months
since I've been paying attention to Chrome for about a year and a
half.

I almost never use Chrome and it isn't current on
my Windows 7 machine. I can let it update and test it later tonight on
that machine if you don't get definite answers before then. I can check
the site later after I let Chrome update. But I can't switch machines
now. I was able to see an embedded object when I used my older version of
Chrome on my XP machine. I think this is a problem introduced in
Chrome. My older version of Chrome is still new enough that it should have
played an HTML5 stream if it were available. Let's try to be more
certain. Try going to the first link you gave and, starting from the top
of the page, look for button the pag3e. Do you see anything like a play
button and other buttons you might see in a player? If so, then the new
Chrome is using an HTML stream.

I have no objection to the original discussion
continuing.
When such personal disputes come up, will list
members please make a point of reading all their male before
responding? And it would be a good idea to wait a while to see if the
thread is resolved before commenting. In this case the dispute had been
resolved before another message was sent by a list member not originally in the

topics for general discussion.

Did this problem happen with earlier versions of
Chrome or only with the latest one. How long have you used the latest
update? Does that problem happen in general or only on a small number of
pages? I'm going to see if I can use the sites. they may be
restricted and many locations may not be able to use them.

Re: Reading Comics and Graphic Novels Out Loud
Hi,
<snip I am a big fan of comic books and graphic novels, but can't read them easily because of a cognitive impairment. PL] A screen reader is the wrong tool for the job. Graphic novels and comics have images that need to be described in context therefore even current image description solutions will fail because they do not retain context. Optical character recognition will not get you anywhere either because there is not much text. A better option is to consider places such as comicsempower.com who produce comics and graphic novels in accessible form. They incorporate image descriptions in the flow of the narrative. Pranav

If you are fatigued when reading long documents then a solution like text aloud may work better. If however, you need to navigate the computer by using speech, then NVDA is the way to go. Pranav

For instance, I copied and pasted your email into Narrator, and and first it doesn't read it, but later it just reads it over and over without stopping :) If anyone can explain Narrator to me, that might suffice for my needs, if I could ever get it to work efficiently.
