Hi Gerardo, In fact, I had filed a ticket a very long while ago on the tracker, but admittedly, I had been unable to provide any substantial usage case for the same. Moreover, another user even reported that pressing NVDA+T thrice accidentally was sufficient an annoyance because due to that inadvertent extra NVDA+T press, the clipboard contents got modified which can be an understandable irritation, thus voting against NVDA+L thrice copying the current line. I would be happy to look and provide you the ticket link if necessary, in case you wish to substantiate the feature requests with usage cases and other justification. Thanks. I just had my laptop to a computer store for repair. The install of Win 10 had become corrupted and there was no way to roll back so they did a clean install of Win 10 Anniversary version for me. This will no doubt get updated to Creators soon. The problem I'm having is that NVDA no longer shows up in the Ease Of Access Center as it used to. I tried unchecking the auto start nvda at win log on and saving this and then going right back and check it and save again. I even restarted nvda a couple times. It still won't show up for me in Ease Of Access. Can anyone help?
Thanks.

Re: NVDA and LibreOffice annoyannces: dates
I'm sorry, but no. If you are going to use a date cell then it needs to contain a complete date or nothing can be expected to guess that date correctly. It has to choose something, and it does. If you want the 31st of January then enter a valid representation of the 31st of January. NVDA and LibreOffice annoyannces: dates
Walmir Schultz <wsautodidata@...>
This problem apparently is related to the way NVDA announces erroneously the decimals in number.
The formatting of dates is also announced incorrectly. For example, "Jan/17" is announced as "01/01/2017". I must note that these are very different things. For instance, in my spreadsheets, I use "Jan/17" to indicate a value referring to the last day of january and, obviously, "01/01/2017" refers to the first day of than month. So, this can lead to various interpretation errors related to the values referring to this dates. Note also that this behavior started in LibreOffice 5.2.x.

NVDA and Libreofice, a new problem: CRASH!!
Walmir Schultz <wsautodidata@...>
One of the reasons I decided to downgrade to LibreOffice 5.1.x was a new problem.
While using Calc 5.3.2.1, the program crashes randomly, showing a message saying that the files will be saved. Then a dialog invites to send a report and the file recovering is launched. As far as I know, this only occurs in conjunction with NVDA.

walmir,
i remember that only i tested calc 5.2 with nvda one time and i was not comfortable with it. you can subscribe in www.bugs.libreoffice.org and report it for developers to fix it. also did you try libreoffice 5.3 calc with nvda to see the result? Myself I'd prefer the old system of a nag message that says, windows has some updates. When can I install them? I personally miss that aspect of old Windows Update as well. I always had my systems set to download updates but to let me choose when to install them. I don't care very much with regard to updates that don't require a restart, but for the ones the will it would be nice to have a really obvious warning that one is waiting, and you don't get that anymore. My machine did a restart overnight to apply updates regarding which I had not noticed anything come up in the notification center. There have been other times when, by chance, I have and could choose to either restart now or just let the Windows Update process do that for me during non-active hours. What I find interesting is how readily some want to assign any malfunction on their computers to "a bad update." It's not that these have never occurred, but when a true bad update goes out the effects are generally not isolated, but broad. Updates can, and sometimes do, reveal a vulnerability that was idiosyncratic to one's own machine due to something that came (or didn't come) before rather than the update itself. During the old Windows Update era I had a lot of calls over the years that were for problems that I solved by applying Windows Updates that the user had not applied, sometimes by intent and sometimes through malfunction of Windows Update that they hadn't noticed. My own experience in doing technical support for a long time now strongly suggests to me that there were many more issues that were the direct result of refusing updates selectively and, over time, that creating a house of cards that finally came crashing down.
