I am not sure why and how either. Some of the building supply stores do some thing similar just not as fast of a refresh.

I think if we could all work on a consistent description of what exactly the problem is it would be easier for the dev people to nail it down.

That's the option. But it is pretty cumbersome to activate and
deactivate
this option anytime you came across such a site.
In Cobra you simply press letter s to freeze the site, and simply
press
letter s again to set it free again.
And of course it is no solution to keep the metarefresh option
deactivated,
because if so some sites don't work properly; i. e. you can't log
in some
site, can't select list items in a list etc.

So a simple feature like in Cobra would be pretty helpful when
you came
across such a site.

Yours sincerely

According to http://tech.aph.org/tbd_doc.htm the display emulates the APH

Re: Question

Nvda only updates when there is a full version depending on the branch.
You won't know nvda is checking unless there is something to update then it asks you to update then to donate or not and then it downloads, asks you to confirm install.
after that uac asks you, and sometimes a security run box before that.
So there is no way you can miss things.

Most programs that work in Windows 7 work in Windows 10. I don't know how many people use Klango these days. I haven't seen it discussed in perhaps three years. I just looked at the home page. You can either try it and see or see if there is a contact or support link on the page.

Yes and unless something is wrong or something is there to do, it shouldn't last for more than a few seconds.
There may be a task for it in tasks I forget I don't touch it and if you have devices active using itunes you probably want to leave all automated apple stuff active for optimal performance anyway.

NVDA isn't doing anything. Something else is checking for new software. Such messages should never come from NVDA.
Perhaps you run some sort of program that looks at your computer and updates programs and drivers. If the program doesn't identify itself and you have no idea what it is, perhaps you should look through add/remove programs and see if you see anything that might be that kind of program.

Re: Question

apple does check for updates from time to time.
Its never happened when I have accessed things, if it is popping up a dialog for more than a second with updates then you should do that.
If its popping up an error, it could be an overloaded server or something is actually down off the net.

Seika driver is built in to newer versions of NVDA. Select the driver in the NVDA settings Insert+N and then Braille. Have you installed the Windows drivers for the display? They can be downloaded at http://www. nippontelesoft.com/english.html
