I just played a bit with the tool bar.  It appears that you can see folders if you have book marks organized in that way, but you can't use first letter navigation.  This is a major limitation and the tool bar would probably be unsuitable for people to use who have more than a very small number of book marks.

No. These changes are not tied to profiles.

Why don't you just change the overall shortcuts for the add-on?

I downloaded the Speech History add-on. As one of its commands, it
uses F12 to copy a string from the speech history to the clipboard.
But in Word, F12 brings up the Save As dialog. So, I want to alter
this input gesture just in Word to use Shift+F12 for the command from
the SpeechHistory add-on.

I tried making a separate profile in NVDA, but the change doesn't seem
to be linked to a specific configuration profile.

I am using Next builds of NVDA.

When going to the bookmarks as described below NVDA repeats the name of each bookmark twice.

In both IE and Firefox there is a simple way to get to your favorites

or bookmarks in google chrome?
Thanks

Re: Windows server 2012 r2

Antony Stone

Congratulations (on the job).

Yes, this does work, and I have used almost exactly the setup you have
described, soon after NVDA Remote became available, to test it out.

NVDA works fine under Windows Server 2012 (I'm pretty sure I was even using the
R2 edition as well), and NVDA Remote allows you to use either Braille or
speech, as far as I recall.

Good luck,

Antony.

Re: Windows server 2012 r2

Hi,

Yes it will (as I have such a VM for testing purposes), although the host must be set up to use minimal GUI server interface (basic GUI and Server Manager) or full desktop experience, as NVDA won’t work properly in ServerCore. Surprisingly, NVDA will also run under Windows Server 2016 GUI mode (full desktop experience).

Cheers,

Joseph

After all these years, Chrome doesn't have such a shortcut.  You can open the menu with alt, press enter when the menu opens, type b and then press enter again.

In both IE and Firefox there is a simple way to get to your favorites
with Alt A and Alt B.  Is there a hot key combination to open favorites
or bookmarks in google chrome?
Thanks
