Why not just wear a pair of headphones when configuring the Alexa app
on your computer. That way the Alexa Echo wouldn't hear her name
being spoken by NVDA.

i remembered from its copyright that i downloaded one version in three
years ago and it was not accessible for me.
i dont know about the newer versions and also paid version.
i tried free version which was less than 60 mb in that year.
hope that it became accessible until now and someone explaned about
its usage and accessibility.

HI I am using NVDA AND OUTLOOK 2016.

What is the correct keys to find out how many messages are in A folder using NVDA when you are in your folders lists?

Hello:

    When I try to delete them with file explorer.  Or, for that matter, any other file management software.  When trying to use the wipe/shred/destroy function I get a file not accessible/file does not exist/file not available error messages!

    So, I guess I'm stuck with having all those windows.old files on my machine.

    Today I upgraded from win8.1 to win10 and the windows.old family has now grown to seven directories!

    I have been using PCs since the days of DOS 4.0 to the present and this one is very hard to understand why it's happening?

I'm sure there is a way to delete them without using Windows cleanup.  You don't have to reformat just to get rid of such folders. Have you tried deleting them using Windows Explorer?  If that doesn't work, there are utilities that allow files to be deleted that are being kept from doing so by the operating system showing them as in use when they aren't.

     Disk cleanup sees them and the check box is checked for deleting. 
However! Disk cleanup seems to be unable/unwilling to delete them!

ms office aint that bad I am going to shift my aunt who was in business
into using it as she has worked with it at work.

I'd dearly like her to use free office and software but she is spending
on a laptop, and will get office.

Has anyone tried wps office at all?

Its free and bar a watermark on printed files is fine.

Now its 30 a year and maybe cheaper per month I forget but you can
subscribe a pc and some mobile devices to it.

Or if on pc is all you will use it on its 80 dollars for a lifetime pc
licence.

As long as that pc is fine then you don't have an issue.

I think unless you get a key and just install it on another pc afterward.

Thats cheaper than office but has anyone used this.

She has an ios and an android device and since she is cloud based,
linking her cloud to her computer with ms apps is not a bad thing I
guess since she has a 3 device chain.

The only people that don't are those on single devices like myself.

There used to be a program that could delete anything you liked. The way it worked was it presented you with locked or files protected in various ways. You selected them and then it rebooted the computer via some low level, ie non Microsoft system and deleted what you had told it by accessing a text file you had saved vai the program. Unfortunately and this is the really annoying part I cannot remember what it was called but it did give dire warnings about using it to remove files that might be used by windows and then the machine would not reboot.
It used to work well in XP and the dire Vista, but not bothered with it since as now drives are so huge that a little bit of wasted space is not really an issue any more.

The windows.old directories will not go away no matter how I try to
get rid of them with disk cleanup!

Disk cleanup sees them and the check box is checked for deleting.
However! Disk cleanup seems to be unable/unwilling to delete them!

I currently have four windows.old on the root directory. That is
why I may need to do a fresh/clean install of any windows OS and for
that there needs to be a disk reformat!

Being blind and living alone really s___s!!!

I do know that if you install an OEM disc of windows it does store some stuff in an unreachable part of the disc, which may or may not have a visible folder but cannot be deleted, often called some very long and weird name.

I think it can be done in two ways.first using a script or slipstream method where all the required questions are answered as a text input file, and secondly, using narrator but at some point, obviously you are using non windows software right at the start. I've never done it myself, but know of a couple of people who have managed it with windows 10.
