hi
I hope we soon have the ability to using global and app specific settings, ability to rename or relabel any object with object navigator, and change the roll or class of any object relabel objects using tooltips if desired, like a jaws graphics labeler and reclassing dialog and autolabeler rolled into one thing. custom object packs could be shared among NVDA users to make apps more accessible without learning python code.

It sounds as though the mouse is being moved to the
line that NVDA is speaking. We don't know what programs that is being done
in. If that is what is being done, I don't know why unknown is
heard. If that's all that happens, and if things work as expected, while
you may want to report it as you did here, it sounds like a minor annoyance
that, unless more information is given, doesn't affect performance. Is
that correct?

Hi folks.
I'm trying to upload all my music to google play.
In the steps, you need to pick a folder where all your music is for uploading.
There is a button that says add folder, but in vane I can't get anything to happen when trying to click on this button. I've tried, enter, space, NVDA key +enter, even left clicking, nothing seems to be working.

Hi,
I did a similar search yesterday typing in the phrase VLC media player help and they do have a wiki with all of their documentation there including a table listing all of the available hot keys. Since it is an open source project, some of the writing is dated, I believe that one of the files was last updated as far back as 2011 with no updates since then though. The program itself, uses the classic windows graphic user interface and as you arrow through the menus, the corresponding keyboard shortcuts are presented to you so if push comes to shove, you can with a degree of patience create your own custom sheet tailored to your needs.

In the case of popular programs, there is often a good deal of material that has nothing to do with the web site. So don't do searches that specify the web site. Just search for something like VLC tutorial. You might also want to search for things like VLC help or VLC manual. You may get better results by using the phrase VLC Media Player before what you are looking for.

Letters that are short cut commands take actions which are announced. I don't think the commands you can control by short cut commands are in addition to those you can perform by tabbing. I think they are some of the same commands. I don't know how many are provided. If you get a list of short cuts for VLC Player, you can try various letter shortcuts. One of them, for example, is shuffle on and off. The letter r controls this command. In the list of short cuts, this is described as random. Wouldn't it be nice if VLC player documentation used the English language as we know it? The generally accepted name for the command is not random, but shuffle.

Re: NVDA says Edit box unavailable and Getting Mode Messages Spoken
If you don't save settings you have changed with
control NVDA key c before closing the program, when you reopen the program, the
old settings will be used. If you tell NVDA not to save settings on exit,
you won't loose any settings you have changed in this session or in any future
session until you close the program without manually saving the changes you made
in that session first. If you want to try a different synthesizer and
don't save settings automatically on exit, you can try it and the synthesizer
you were using before will be used when you run the program again. If you
want to use different puncctuation settings and not have them be permanent, they
won't be if you don't manually save them. Who knows what people might want
to change temporarily and don't want to accidentally change.
I consider the default save on exit setting to be a
really bad default setting. It's an excellent example of too much
automation that easily may have adverse effects on users.

You don't need to restart NVDA. Just uncheck "save settings on exit" and tab to ok. Hit space bar on it and save the settings with NVDA control C. Why do you need to restart NVDA?

Hi,
I did a similar search yesterday typing in the phrase VLC media player help and they do have a wiki with all of their documentation there including a table listing all of the available hot keys.

I didn't look for a tutorial. Do a Google search for VLC Media Player tutorial. You'll see whatever I would see. I haven't ever looked for one. There is, evidently, a lot of help documentation on the web site but I haven't checked. But if you open help in the player, you are referred to the web site.

After the add on is installed open VLC player and tab. You will tab through lots of items. To change the state of an item, press enter on it. The space bar doesn't do anything.

Hi all, I use NVDA 30 percent more, because of these add ons. Here are my favorite add ons, and I explain why! Here is the list! NVDA add ons I love the most and why. I want to share with all of you, which add ons really impress me the most, and the ones I am getting the most use out of by using them. Number One: Clip Contents Designer; Status: running; Version: 3.5; Author: Noelia Ruiz Martínez <nrm1977@... <mailto:nrm1977@...>
I very often want to copy some material, and append more material to the clipboard. I do this a lot to edit and create tutorials. I love this add on, and it helps me a lot. Thank you! Number two: Clipspeak; Status: running; Version: 1.0; Author: Damien Sykes-Lindley <damien@... <mailto:damien@...> > 2 of 17 It gives me such peace of mind to hear what I have on the clip board, before I paste it somewhere. I can now use two great TV web sites to stream movies and TV shows, because this add on lets me access the ARIA That I need to enjoy these streaming web sites. Thank you! Number four: Golden Cursor moves the mouse with the keyboard; Status: running; Version: 1.0-dev; Author: Salah Atair <atair1978@... <mailto:atair1978@...> >, Wafeeq Taher 5 of 17 I want all to know how much I use this add on. Here is an example. My wife will move the mouse pointer to a place that I cannot find. I can then press a command to hear what pixel position the mouse pointer is on. I can save that pixel position, and my wife never has to put the mouse pointer there again. I just press a command, and it brings up all saved mouse pointer positions that I have saved. I label my saved pixel positions, like fast forward in Groove, for example. I can open the list of saved pixel positions, and arrow to that Groove button, and press enter, and the actual mouse pointer goes right there. Sometimes, you cannot get the mouse pointer to route to where the review cursor is located, and with one time of sighted assistance, you can save the pixel position where the sighted person put the mouse pointer, and you can go back there yourself from then on. Thank you very much, and I pray you keep developing and supporting this add on! Number five: Lambda math editor addon; Status: running; Version: 1.1.8-dev; Author: Alberto Zanella <lapostadialberto@... <mailto:lapostadialberto@...> > 6 of 17 This add on, has allowed me to tutor highr math concepts on my on line math tutoring business to sighted people.
