Hi Group, Hi,
I use TB with NVDA - to have messages grouped together in one thread:-
1. Press Alt and V (view menu) 2. Use down arrow to sort by. 3. I have subject checked. 4. Also in the sort option at bottom check group by sort.
You will now have all of the messages in a one off thread.
Hope this works for you?

next snapshopt and mouse tracking broken
John Hedges
It seems like todays snapshot has briken mouse focus and speaking. It is hard to stop speech by placing the mouse over a new item, event when it responds to the mouse. In the Mail app, only keyboard events start and stop speech, which was not the case for prevous builds and prior versions.
Van this be reverted?

Re: Spam markers on messages from this list
Gene
E-mail providers use spam filters that move mail to
a spam folder accessible in the online webmail interface the provider
uses. I don't know iff the folder is seen when using an IMAP account
in the e-mail program on the user's machine. It isn't when using POP3 and
must be seen online. This spam filter, is, as far as I know, adjustable by
the user online but to what extent, I don't know. E-mail programs
generally have a spam filter built into the program also so there are usually
two spam filters, one online and one in the e-mail program.

Developing appmodule for specific website
Webmaster Deweer <webmaster_deweer@...>
Dear members,
This is one of the little questions I ask here.
I’d like to ask the following: is it possible to develop a appmodule or something similar to that for one specific website, like in JAWS?
Thanks in advance!
Best wishes, Jordy

Wow this AddON sounds interesting! What else does it allow you to do? For instance does it allow like with the iPhone, to mark each message as you arrow down or up, for their deletion at once, rather than as I do now, holding the space while pressing Control+arrows to select several to then delete?

my outlook message list
Casey <cwollner@...>
Hi if I have like A hole two days worth of messages in my inbox. And I go to the top of the message list in my inbox. NVDA won’t read but if I hit the end key it will read the buttom meaning the last message in the list and then I can up arrow for A while and read some of them. But if I hit the home key and then want to down arrow to read the messages from the top of the inbox down it won’t read them. So why is this happening? And how do you correct it?

Running the latest Next version of NVDA on a win 10 laptop.
When using the x key to go to the next check box Before this latest update I thought it said checkbox followed by the title of the checkbox. Now with this latest version it says the title first followed by the checkbox and its status. Did I imagine this or have things changed? Thanks

Re: Problem With Thunderbird And grouping Messages By Conversation
Ron,
Are these "split groups" primarily for messages coming through an e-mailing list? If so I have an answer as to the cause, but there is not really a cure. -- Brian - Windows 10 Home, 64-Bit, Version 1703, Build 15063 (dot level on request - it changes too often to keep in signature) The opposite of a correct statement is a false statement. Problem With Thunderbird And grouping Messages By Conversation
Ron Canazzi
Hi Group,
I started this accidentally in another thread, but I thought it sufficiently far afield to start a new thread on it. I do indeed see the group by conversation item. But when I choose it, unlike other mail programs, I get those messages with the same subject line grouped in sub groups rather than in one group. By this I mean that for example, if I have a conversation that starts out as 'problem with latest Windows ten download and then 19 more messages with the subject line 'Re: Problem with latest windows ten download' that I have say 3 groups of the messages: one with 6 messages, one with 9 messages and one with 5 messages--rather than the whole group being put in a single 20 message thread. I have never been able to figure out what settings to change to have them grouped as they would be in Outlook Express or Windows Mail--with all such messages in a thread in one single 20 message group. -- They Ask Me If I'm Happy; I say Yes. They ask: "How Happy are You?" I Say: "I'm as happy as a stow away chimpanzee on a banana boat!"

I do like the new icon look. It is more similar to other apps and fits in Windows 10.

The new icon is what appears visually in the system tray when NVDA is running, and what appears on the desktop or start menu if you have a shortcut to the program there. It doesn't change anything NVDA reads, just how its launch icon image appears
to sighted users.

Re: Firefox and RSS
J.G
Hi,
some months ago I had same question. unfortunately I did not get a setisfied answer. I tried Bamboo feed reader and other but noone did not me allow to work with RSS feeds in FF as I worked with them in IE. And what is wrong with IE now? IE is simply becoming outdated and unstable. So if anyone knows a good addon for rss or as FF terminology says "live bookmarks", I would very appretiate it. I mean a good addon which can emulate an IE layout and can benefit of FF strenth. Re: NVDA In-Process

Good question. The NVDA logo is different to the NV Access logo for several reasons. Firstly, while NVDA is our main product and what we are known for, keeping the identity of the program separate to the identity of the company gives us scope to branch out into other projects in the future. Secondly the NV Access logo is relatively complex, making it harder to shrink to something which is easily distinguishable in say a system tray icon. The NVDA logo is described in the blog. The NV Access logo will be described on the new site when it's live, for now it's in the e-mail I send out to certified experts. Essentially it is a sunburst shape - like pointy sun with 16 points, inside that is a diamond with a circle in the middle. The colours are purple, orange and turquoise.

Re: NVDA In-Process

The original icon was dark grey, which worked well on Windows XP which had a light taskbar / system tray. Newer windows versions have moved to a darker taskbar / system tray making the icon very low contrast against it. The new icon retains the overall logo shape but now in white on a purple background ensuring it will be just as visible no matter what background colour it is shown against. Not the most important aspect of the program for most users certainly, but a tweak which both makes it look more modern and also fits in with the branding refresh we are undertaking a well. regards Quentin.

What does the nvda image look like.
toggle quoted messageShow quoted text
It doesn't matter to us, but if it is possible to invest in this, if we do have a visual logo for nvaccess maybe that should be the icon seen if we can get it at all. Its not a big issue as such but if it can be done then it should be, for advertising purposes again I don't care but if we have a graphic logo then it should be easy enough to have it in an icon and that be shipped with the app.
