Have you got the power settings set to maybe turn stuff off when not being used for a bit. also any pointing device which is active is easy to hit by accident and this too can upset focus. I have turned the mousepad off on my dell for example after very similar issues.
Often laptops have custom software that monitors the usage veery aggressively and starts power saving very quickly.#

I am experiencing frequent loss of focus by NVDA with the current version. After a couple of minutes in a program, the arrow keys and other keys are slow to react and pressing insert-t just says "t" instead of the title bar. I must press control-alt-n to reload NVDA at that point, but it happens often now. I am using Windows 7 Pro on a Dell laptop.

Hi

You are so fortunate to be able to buy in US dollar. In South Africa “cheep” is not even in the equasions. But, it is preferable, actually the only right thing to do, is to use legitimate software.

You are probably using the illegal add on, which is not allowed to be discussed on list.

Are you aware that there are versions of Eloquence that are legal and that are not expensive in terms of U.S. dollars?

Have a sus of the FAQ section on this page it might answer some of
your questions. NVDA has more than the 2 modes I have heard about
with jaws to get to stuff. There is also a add on called golden
cursor that might help you. You can grab the add on from within the
nvda add on manager where the add ons are installed there is a button
i think it is called get add ons which will take you up to the nvda
add on website that is coming together of the add osn we know about.

I do have some audio tutorials if you are interested, which might

Failing that, the only thing I can suggest is you have the file to

have that needs it.
