The beta is generally stable. It is at the
stage where mainly bugs are being found. There is no older production
version to test this with. This is a feature in the soon to be realeased
production version. There is no reason to believe that this is an NVDA
problem.

Anthony This is not difficult to do but there are quite a few steps to doing it and the buttons you want are quite a long way down the settings pages, so be prepared to do a lot of tabbing.
Cheers Chris

Hi, Scott,
Thanks for the tip on creating a desktop shortcut for microsoft edge. I tried doing it the way I was used to doing it in other programs by typing "edge" in the start search box and using the applications key but that didn't work. Thanks again for this tip.

Hi Anthony.
1: press windows key and r for the run dialogue 2: Type shell:appsfolder and hit enter 3: When the list of programs pops up use first letter navigation letter m until you hear Microsoft edge. 4: Hit the context menu key or shift f 10. 5: Arrow until you find create shortcut and hit enter. 6: You will be told that the shortcut can not be created here and it will ask you if you want to place it on the desktop instead. 7: Tab to the yes button and hit enter. And there you go. Note: you can name the newly created icon anything you want. I hope this helps. Have a nice day

Unable to switch to oneCore synthesizer.
Hi. I find this very strange since narrator speaks using this particular synth so I know it is in fact installed.Sorry if this has been discussed before. I am using nvda master on a windows 10 machine running the latest creator update. When I try to switch to the oneCore synthesizer, I get the following message. Could not load the oneCore synthesizer.

Re: NVDA SOUNDS
Gene
I don't know anything about the web
site you are asking about. If those voices are offered anywhere for free,
it's not legal and you won't get help with illegal acquisitions on the list
because the list has a policy against supporting illegal software. If the
official support page says something must be paid for, any free offer is almost
certain to not be legal.

I have Outlook 2007 and it works fine with NVDA until I try to read the status bar using NVDA+end when Outlook stops working and I have to restart it. This has occurred in quite a few versions of NVDA up to 17.2. I'm not saying it's an NVDA problem, it may be something to do with the interaction between the information exposed by Outlook and how NVDA obtains it whichh causes it. I doubt MS would do anything to solve it, so I just avoid using that keystroke.
