Hi, I ca’nt confirm your bug. I’m using windows 7 the latest version of NVDA. I can read my home page using down arrow. I pretended to do online banking and no bug. Is this with windows ten?

Re: excel 2016
Quentin Christensen
There's a couple of things. Firstly in the document formatting dialog (NVDA+control+d or choose "document formatting" from NVDA's preferences menu), find "row/column headers" and ensure that is checked. While you are there set "cell coordinates" if you want that. To set headers: - Move to the first cell in the row that you want to have headers read and press NVDA+shift+C to set column headers. - Move to the first cell in the column that you want to have headers read and press NVDA=shift+r to set row headers. To remove headers, move to the same cell and press the shortcut twice quickly. Note that you need to move to the first cell you want headers read from - it doesn't automatically set it for the whole row or column. Regards Quentin.

I think if that does not work then its the problem I suggested. I've never seen this issue myself though fixing it is the reason why xp support was suddenly dropped as the only fix meant you could not easily keep supporting the older systems.

Might be interesting to know whether the Master branch still exhibits this, though I'm not sure if the fix has got there as yet. I'm experiencing some serious issues with installing updates to nvda recently with locking up on restart and lots of strange errors duing copying files on portable versions as well. Re: nvda developers please help me about my favorite version of nvda!
Gene
Mail that has no text version doesn't cause a
problem with webmail interfaces. If you don't want to read mail as HTMal
using a weeb interface and the web interface doesn't offer a text setting, turn
off script support in your browser or use something like a portable version of
NVDA with script support off specifically for that site and any other sites you
don't want scripts to run in. Use whatever browsers you use now when you
do want script support.

To my knowledge, and after doing some web research, it is not possible to make the Gmail web interface do forced conversions to plain text when a message has been sent in HTML format. This actually makes sense since so much actual information is often contained in HTML elements like click-through links that are part of an image and similar. You can choose to compose in plain text, but even that has become more difficult to set up since HTML formatted messages have become the de facto standard. -- Brian - Windows 10 Home, 64-Bit, Version 1703, Build 15063 (dot level on request - it changes too often to keep in signature) * * *The opposite of a correct statement is a false statement.* * But the opposite of a profound truth may well be another* * profound truth.* * ~ * *Niels Bohr*

Re: Does Anyone Else Have This Bug in Firefox Using NVDA?
Gene
This has nothing to do with unregistered dll
files. It is the problem that has been mentioned by Joseph Lee recently
and the problem is that if you unload and then run NVDA while firefox, or I
believe any other program that uses browse mode is opened, browse mode won't
work. You must close and rerun the program such as a browser, to have it
function properly again. this bug is known to the developers.

freezing NVDA
Don H
Running NVDA 2017-3 on a win 10 64 bit machine.
This issue doesn't seem to be browser specific as I have had the issue with both IE and Google Chrome. Sometimes NVDA doesn't report a link. With this issue I have had the problem of hitting the enter key on a line of text on a web page causing NVDA from responding and locking the computer. In some cases you can wait it out and speech returns and on other cases the only way to fix the issue is a hard reboot. Can happen on any web page if you happen to hit enter on a non control line on the page.
