Getting a reply from the list server saying the address you sent from is not
subscribed is very different indeed from getting an error 550 "undeliverable"
to the list server's own address.

550 means "fatal error - mail could not be delivered"

The "8.4 points" is most likely an anti-spam filter result (quite
possibly from SpamAssassin).

Basically this combination means that the mail server refused to >
deliver your email to the list because it looked like spam, according
to whatever tests are done by that server.

See my previous answer.
Its always user in the portable version but system in the installed one and
when you copy the current config so it can be used on the hard to read
screens like log in and system ones, it normally warns you that the system
config in the users area and in the program files area are going to be the
same after you do that.
User configs are only in the portable version and remember that cannot
access the protected screens and indeed some other content if you are using
windows 10.

Re: Speech Dictionary

When you say old how far are we going back. At the moment speech dics are created when you configure a voice or a global dictionary. Normally they go into the system config on an installed copy and the user config on a portable one. recent changes in developments snapshots have renamed some of the dictionaries, and caused problems when updating like the apparent loss of entries or inability to delete or copy files. However if you have been using that release versions there have been no such changes, to my knowledge.
I'm assuming you have not been editing these manually and accidentally made one corrupt or delleted it.
Normally if no dictionary exists you do not notice. Brian

Ah, I see, maybe the server is on some black list then. That is the server
at my end of course.

This is probably why some messages do fail to get posted on some lists if
there is a listing which of course the average punter would not know about.

Thanks I'll just monitor the situation on that list and in the mean time
post from a different system.

550 means "fatal error - mail could not be delivered"

The "8.4 points" is most likely an anti-spam filter result (quite
possibly from SpamAssassin).

Basically this combination means that the mail server refused to deliver
your email to the list because it looked like spam, according to whatever
tests are done by that server.

I am sorry to have to inform you that your message, "Re: [Nvda-devel]
Python 3: puzzle pieces coming together, let us start porting or making
our add-ons compatible with 2 and 3", could not be delivered to
nvda-devel@lists.sourceforge.net.

The remote mail system said;

550:This message scored 8.4 points. Congratulations!

Well I wonder what i win.

For context I was attempting to configure an email client to post to
the account that is subscribed to that list. I'm sure there are some
knowledgable folk out there who recognises the error numbe. My guess is
that it might have gone via a server on another isp.

When you say the Sam driver are you referring to the free Dolphin synth

Access Manager that I've seen an add on somewhere to use in nvda?

I have not used this method of late to use Dolphin derived voices because,

to be honest  most of the ones available that way are digital type voices

like digital Dave and not as good as Espeak in my opinion. It certainly does

not let you use any third party voices they use without buying them!

However is Sam means something else, then I don't know!

You are right. But I don’t know what really happened. At the beginning, I did not have a map called userConfig. And now, I have a map with this name with about 8 other maps in it. I did not make this map myself!!?. I hope that someone can explain this.In the map userConfig is a map SpeechDicts

I downloaded NVDA again on another laptop (portable version, like I did before). There was (and is) NO map called userConfig .

In the old version of NVDA there was a map ”UserConfig”. In this map was a
map called “SpeechDicts” . In it was a file called ”default”. In this file
you could read the content of the speech dictionary. Where can I find this
file in the new version of NVDA ???
