Hi.

Well never thought this would be me saying I am done but I am done.

Bt sync suddenly started crashing I did everything settings clear,
system restore, etc, etc, etc, I added all my folders in again, and it
went and started syncing but less than 2 minutes afterwards the client
crashed with the standard stopped working message.

I did try resilio but I am either doing it wrong or something because
while I was able with another reader able to get it to show a bit of its
web ui where I could do something with it even when I added a folder it
asked for confirmation.

When I put the service in and set it as system, thinking that would
work, the thing just didn'

't seem to notice, that is I got it running but it just wouldn't display
any web ui and there was no icon to do that.

Someone mentioned there was a way on here to get it to run with a
command line and I may do that.

I have looked at synkthing and it looked good if only I knew how to
opperate it fully I have all the keys for my folders but to be honest at
this point, I have half the mind to say well thats me and bt sync.

There is 1 folder I can get updates to manually via a dropbox share but
thats about it.

I have an old bt sync clicker sadly no longer about and I could use that
I guess but to be honest, I'm just about out of options.

In the end if btsync doesn't I will use the access I have via dropbox
for the folder that I have audio described tv stuff on but to be honest
that may be that.

I can't waste all day on bt sync 1 and if there is a limit I have
obviously reached it, I have a 30gb folder of chips 12gb of tv stuff a
couple smaller folders of 1-2gb each and a big 4gb phone sound folder, I
have about 50gb of stuff.

Is there some sort of accessible bt sync client that can take keys or
that one can use, To be honest I'd like something that you could use
like bt sync 1x but that had an explorer interface I don't need that
much I just want to sync 6 large folders, if I can make more with keys
or whatever then sure go ahead but I am done otherwise.

Re: Slightly OT: Accessible blogging platform

To be honest wordpress.com just doesn't work, wordpress itself is fine I can make blogs and such but yeah its not that good after that.

Your best bet is to log to www.wordpress.com/wp-admin.

Once you login go to m.wordpress.com and a dumbed down wordpress appears you can select which blog to post at and you can post to blogs like that sadly not login like that but still thats how you do it.

The only issue is your dates for posts will be at the end of the post rather than the top but its worked for me.

How odd. I can use wordpress fine, at least on mac, no focus issues. Did you  try hitting the expand button when it comes to the menues?

Wordpress may be technically accessible but personally I find it extremely confusing and difficult to use.
It is certainly not straightforward.
For example I have recently been stuck in submitting only as draft and using NVDA and Jaws could find no way of amending this o actually publish. Rather than publishing when you hit the publish button you re taken to other options which my screenreader at least struggles to deal with.
In the end I managed to struggle through my wordpress blog settings and managed to change them to allow submission by email which has sorted this to a basic level. Even here on the settings page it was not at all clear. I hit enable buttons but it was not clear as to what these buttons referred to.
More by luck than anything else I managed to make the change.
I think Wordpress has a lot to do to make the site more usable.

Hi.
Well if you use the latest wordpress theme then it will always be accessible.
But most things injegno I think is what is being used on another site but there is a custom style and all that jazz.
I am a beta tester of the wordpress platform and our themes are always accessible, the 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013 and 2012 themes all should work.
maybe our older ones will work to I am unsure but the latest theme you get with the latest version should always work.
Its easy enough if you do have a website or server.
As long as you have php 5.0 or whatever the latest version of that and mysql is installed as well as cpanel then its about all you need.
You need a mysql database to run the entire junket.
You then just load the base package and configure it, and bar some plugins it should just autoupdate for you in most cases.
Wordpress.com is good though I use it and its mobile site for my personal blog.
What I have done after creation is use wordpress.com/wp-admin and then its got me into the site then I use m.wordpress.com to access that.
But its easy as long as you turn the visual editor off.
For other platforms.
If wordpress is not your thing the next easy one is blogger.
Blogger and blogspot are part of google and all account holders of google including gmail and youtube have access to this.
3.  droople and maybe a couple others are usable but ofcause there are different setups it all depends what you want.

Hi Ketan,

I know a few people use WordPress.  There are various themes and I believe
some are inaccessible.  I haven't had a problem with any I've tried though
I probably haven't been as adventurous as some.  You can setup WordPress on
your own site or use a host like wordpress.comwho host it for you.

bt sync and me are officially enemies

Hi.

Well never thought this would be me saying I am done but I am done.

Bt sync suddenly started crashing I did everything settings clear, system restore, etc, etc, etc, I added all my folders in again, and it went and started syncing but less than 2 minutes afterwards the client crashed with the standard stopped working message.

I did try resilio but I am either doing it wrong or something because while I was able with another reader able to get it to show a bit of its web ui where I could do something with it even when I added a folder it asked for confirmation.

When I put the service in and set it as system, thinking that would work, the thing just didn'

't seem to notice, that is I got it running but it just wouldn't display any web ui and there was no icon to do that.

Someone mentioned there was a way on here to get it to run with a command line and I may do that.

I have looked at synkthing and it looked good if only I knew how to opperate it fully I have all the keys for my folders but to be honest at this point, I have half the mind to say well thats me and bt sync.

There is 1 folder I can get updates to manually via a dropbox share but thats about it.

I have an old bt sync clicker sadly no longer about and I could use that I guess but to be honest, I'm just about out of options.

In the end if btsync doesn't I will use the access I have via dropbox for the folder that I have audio described tv stuff on but to be honest that may be that.

I can't waste all day on bt sync 1 and if there is a limit I have obviously reached it, I have a 30gb folder of chips 12gb of tv stuff a couple smaller folders of 1-2gb each and a big 4gb phone sound folder, I have about 50gb of stuff.

Is there some sort of accessible bt sync client that can take keys or that one can use, To be honest I'd like something that you could use like bt sync 1x but that had an explorer interface I don't need that much I just want to sync 6 large folders, if I can make more with keys or whatever then sure go ahead but I am done otherwise.

Re: NVDA Responsiveness

Gene

I don't know why the third problem occurs but others can explain it from a technical standpoint but the problem is known.  If I have to unload NVDA for some reason and I'm using a browser, I book mark the page I'm working with at times so I can close the browser, reopen it after running NVDA, then return to the page.  Or I might use history to return to the page.  But at times, it's easier to create a book mark and at times, depending on how you get to a web page, it may not be in history.  So I make a book markat times, then delete it when no longer needed.  I believe this problem will be corrected in upcoming production versions of NVDA.

I think the other problems reflect problems with your system but I don't know enough technically to say much about them.

Subject: [nvda] NVDA Responsiveness

I have a few questions related to NVDA's responsiveness:

Sometimes, particularly when I'm on a webpage, NVDA just freezes for several seconds. I have no idea why, and it doesn't seem to be happening with JAWS.

Likewise, NVDA will randomly jump focus from the window I'm in and just say "pane"; I then have to close that window to get back to where I was.

Finally, if I have a page open in Firefox and unload NVDA, once I reload NVDA I can no longer read the page; it is as if NVDA only stays in focus mode.

Using NVDA 2017.3 on Windows 10.
