But this looks like too professional I just need a software to practice basic typing Because most of the software like this use a flash like interface or technology Making the use of guide software can not be successfully accessible If anyone can use it, then I can test it without having to download it one by one Without software, I think web pages are acceptable Thanks for your recommendation thank you for much Logo Kuo from Taiwan tonea.ctr.morrow@... 於 2018/1/25 下午

Yes, it reads or report the progress bar status but the name of the file you've been dll is not announced. that is the bug that need to be fix. Not unless in the earlier version you have at least a guide to know about what file you are downloading.

Please start a new thread when starting a new
topic. Don't take an existing thread, change the subject line, leave
preexisting material and write your message. And you bottom posted.
people often don't read bottom posted replies. In this case, where your
bottom post is both at the bottom and a completely unrelated message by someone
else is at the top, even more people will skip it, believing you made an error
and didn't send a message. If you want proper attention, please send the
message again as a completely new thread.

Unfortunately, I deleted the entire thread by mistake so I had to start another thread. In any case, with more recent versions of Microsoft Word, it is possible to open an HTML page into a new document. It's a bit more complex, but if one really wishe4s to maintain proper formatting, I would think this would work. I have never tried it before, but try the following. 1. Save the web page to disk. 2. Open Word and from the open file dialogue, browse to the HTML file and bring it into Word. See if the major formatting is retained. -- They Ask Me If I'm Happy; I say Yes. Re: A weird problem with NVDA
Gene
I made an error in the original message. Here
is a corrected version.
If the problem started
immediately after you installed the program, they might well be connected.
System Restore is intended to be used when odd problems exist for which there is
no known good solution or no definitely known solution at all. You might
save yourself a lot of work, time, and trouble by running a restore point, if
you have one, from before the problem started. Gene

It normally gives a prompt and lets you put stuff on an “allow” list. Not sure how it works with plugins vs sites though; never even thought of that before.

Noscript blocks JAVA scripts. If that is the only thing you did that interfeered with Webvism, then that was the problem.
Gene ----- Original Message ----- From: JM Casey Sent: Friday, January 26, 2018 12:34 PM Subject: Re: [nvda] FireFox 58 And Screen Readers
Yeah, sorry. That old machine and FF is long gone now and I only mentioned that for context, that I was never even able to get the add-on to do what it was supposed to do. As it happens, I did use noscript at the time, so maybe there was a conflict. Now it seems to work/log me in and give me options that I did not see before, but it still gives me an error when I try to solve a capsha. No need to solve anything; think I’ll just get FF 58 anyway and try the add-on with the portable version as you suggest. I’m not that upset about it not working.
From: nvda@nvda.groups.io [mailto:nvda@nvda.groups.io] On Behalf Of Gene
Then you may have settings set incorrectly. Since you don't explain the problems, we can't address them other than to give general information.
If you have JAVA scripts disabled and if you have automatic downloading of images disabled, Webvism can't work. I would imagine that if you are using something like noscript, that would cause it not to work as well.
Gene ----- Original Message ----- From: JM Casey Sent: Friday, January 26, 2018 12:11 PM Subject: Re: [nvda] FireFox 58 And Screen Readers
Cheers Gene. That’s a good idea I suppose. I never did get any good use out of this plug-in before, even with whatever version of Firefox I used on the XP machine.
From: nvda@nvda.groups.io [mailto:nvda@nvda.groups.io] On Behalf Of Gene
You can use an older portable version of Firefox with Webvisum only on sites you need it for. You can use the current version you would already have for general browsing. And this is not related to the new versions of Firefox. Firefox made some security changes after version 52 that made it not work with many plugins, including Webvism.

A weird problem with NVDA
Debra Gardner
Hi: I'm new to this list so thought I'd throw out my problem for your consideration. As of a little over a week ago, NVDA stopped reading web pages-with any browser-; doesn't read context menus; start menus and taskbars; the bodies of emails-both received and written-; things in my control panel. It does read my desktop and system tray and folder lists. I have uninstalled and reinstalled it. I have done the thing suggested on the tutorials list to re-register the dl files. I am using windows 10 64-bit fall creator's edition. NVDA didn't have any problem with any updates. the only thing I installed recently was a dictionary program that turned out not to work with Windows 10. It just says :unknown" or is silent. I'm using a different screen reader to write this.Any suggestions?
