Hello,
I'm using google chrome with a blank page as main page.
When I open Chrome, then I press alt-d to go to address bar and then I search something.
As a result, I see the page loaded into the screen, but NVDA is not able to read the content, it says busy document.
I should open another page, for example m.facebook.com, then return to address bar and search something again, and now it works.
Do you have the same issues?

You have evidently removed a program that unregistered some dll files.

How to reregister them has been discussed on the list before. I

didn't keep the information and I'll leave it to others to tell you

where to find it, as to how to reregister them. It's a simple

procedure and it will probably solve your problem.

The user would select the sound for the specific punctuation. There

Now my one problem with having a mode like this is, given the number of
different marks and their meaning in different circumstances in different
languages, it could need one heck of a lot of individual sounds to cover
them all. I do know what you are getting at different sorts of brackets and
colons etc, are main candidates, with underscores being also useful.

Maybe this is add on territory ie a programmers version as most of us
prefer
not to hear these greater thans etc all over the place, but obviously such
things are important in programming as are brackets and indents etc.

Hi all,

I use Outlook 2013 at work on Windows 10. If I connect to my work e-mail
from a network other than my work network, I am asked for a password. This
window comes up as a separate window on the computer. If I switch focus to
that window using alt+tab, NVDA tells me that it is not responding. I am
unable to enter any text in it but I can read the window title using nvda
key + t.

If someone clicks with the mouse to get focus to that window, I am able to
enter my password.

Has anyone else encountered this? I am using NVDA 2017.4.

Well optimising your ssd is supposed to shorten its life.

I have not noticed dammage while cleaning things to anything but google some of the chrome extentions can get dammaged.

I clear my restores every 6 months.

You shouldn't need to clean things every month.

I run ccleaner each session and at the end of the day to clear any potential nastys out of my temp locations.

I get a lot of malware in my temp locations which I don't care much if someone gets in there as I am always clearing that out of my temp locations.

As for disk cleanup every 6 munths or so.

Most of it is small fry, temp locations, and a few other things.

The biggest waste of space are old windows updates and logs.

If you ever clear windows defender its going to say your system is not secure and prompt you to scan till you do because its got nothing to show its been activated or anything so I don't clear this.

As for restore points, I clear points every so often, I do clear all points before a major windows update and make another.

What I wish was for ms to clear all recovery partitons which were not the current windows update, yeah I know I can do this via partid but I'd like a guid thing or an automated things to clear out well partitions and resize things accordingly which are not manufacturer or the latest windows upgrade partition.

To be honest I don't know why ms doesn't do it itself when upgrading why leave a lot of non functional 500mb partitions at all.

I sure turn off Jaws and works with NVDA ONLY.

To reset my pc, I will go when I don't have any other solution.

somebody might be able to give you an educated guess as to what is going on.

Do you have the latest version of the windows 10 essentials add on
installed?
Also which synth are you using and do you turn off jaws when using nvda.
However a really detailed description of the problem is what we need on

Well without some idea of why things are being not seen, its very hard to be
specific, even back in the xp days some machines were more prone to the
problem without any kind of observable difference affecting anything else.

different marks and their meaning in different circumstances in different
languages, it could need one heck of a  lot of individual sounds to cover
them all. I do know what you are getting at different sorts of brackets and
colons etc, are main candidates, with underscores being also useful.

Maybe this is add on territory ie a programmers version as most of us prefer
not to hear these greater thans etc all over the place, but obviously such
things are important in programming as are brackets and indents etc.

With regard to "utilising the mouse arrow", could you please clarify exactly what you are trying to do?  Yes it is possible to do several things either with the mouse, or to the mouse and with further information, I can give you steps for that also.

I am using NVDA for some years and now my NVDA DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY.

I CAN USE IT LITTLE BIT FOR READING DOCUMENTS WITH ms word but many other programs do't work.

I see that no one may help and I will have to go to reset my PC to solve that problem.

just disk clean up does not cause problem for nvda.

i use disk clean up on windows xp, c drive only and have no issue with nvda.

Gene has some good precortionary information about installing c cleaner. I would like to add a little more to this information. Many of these free programs, whether they be slim versions, light versions, or portable,in recent times are coming loaded with mal ware. This wasn't always the case and there may be still some that are free of malware but now this depends on how the programmer compiles the installer.Here's what you can do, use an unzipping program, I like 7 zip, try to unzip the installer of the program that you want to install. If that works out, you'll have a folder with all the files including the main executable. Most of the time you could just run the program, there won't be any malware to worry about because you didn't use the installer to install the program.When you run the program this way, in most cases it will create a settings/data folder for it's operation, letting you know about the folder that there's nothing to worry about. In fact it could be a good thing if there's setting files such as i n i files that you might want to edit.I don't want to get to far a field, but I want to say something else. Just this last week, Roger was having problem with cdex to run in windows 10. Well it was either that day or the next day, I did a little looking around and found the latest version of cdex, it is v1.99, at the time had been out less than 24 hours. I donloded both versions, the main and portable versions, and both versions are loaded with malware, however if you can't uncheck the box of which there's 2 or 3, if you can't uncheck them using your screen reader, The good news is you could just unzip this one and run it. It runs very fast and smooth, under the very latest windows 10 64 bit. When you first run it, it will create that settings/data folder, and the great news is that you can edit the i n i files to your liking.This is very good if your main drive is ssd and you want your music folder to be on the drive, that's not your main drive. The only other thing I think and Roger has probably checked this is, is to go in the settings and make sure the burner you want to rip from is the one that is selected. If not selected, go ahead and select it.In closing if I can help in any way with any of this. Just let us know. If anyone wants it, I can zip up my copy and put it up on sendspace.
