Hi,

It is an verry old display and can only be connected by using a
serial connection, so I use a usb to serial converter and Brltty to

The problem in Nvda is, dat the keys on the display are not working.
When I use Brltty in debug mode, I can see, that the keys are
working for Brltty, but Nvda will not recognize these.
is there a trick so I can also use the keys on this display? That

This is only strictly, not functionally, true.

POP3 used filters on the client side because that's where all processing of that type takes place.  A POP server is nothing more than an electronic message passer and messages are removed from the server only when any single device that has access to the account in question deletes a message.  That message deletion does not synchronize with any other devices that might also have been downloading mail as well. This makes it a nightmare when you want to be accessing your e-mail from multiple devices and only dealing with any single message once.

IMAP is the precise opposite.  All heavy-duty processing, including filtering, occurs on the server side.  Multiple devices can access the messages like they can under POP, but the filtering is done before they are accessed and the folders that result from filtering are propagated out to the devices along with the messages.  If a message is deleted from one device that deletion is also propagated out to all other devices so that any given message can be handled once and if deleted not be seen again on your other devices.

I have never understood why Gmail decided to use the artificial construct of "labels" for its web-based interface.  These labels are implemented as IMAP folders, and all the world (that used them, anyway) was accustomed to the idea of folders.  When you have a Gmail account being used in e-mail clients the various labels you've defined show up as folders as soon as the first message arrives that gets filtered in to that folder.  The difference is that you assign the filters on the server side, not the client side.

Re: greeting from LAO PDR and want to discuss for the quickbook

Hello,
I use QB 2015 with the latest NVDA.

Something that is really annoying me right now and that I would like to get fixed ASAP is when I import transactions into quickbooks, the whole process is silent.
Importing transactions is about 100 times faster than manually entering transactions, so there is no way in the world that I could ever compete with a sighted person using quickbooks without the import feature.
I am having my fiance basically do my work for me because all she needs to do is click on an account for each transaction and it takes us around 10 minutes to enter 40 transactions. Most of that time is spent talking.
So I desperately would like to know what to do to get this part of the scripts developed.
Thank you,

Hi, edge does work somewhat with NVDA. I find that forms are tricky to work with, but it works aat least in my testing yesterday. I am having problems getting windows to sign into my microsoft account rite now so there is not a lot I can do with it for now. After entering my email and sign in password, I get taken back to the account screen in settings. I tried adding a passord to my locakl account and after doing so, I am taken back to the setting screen with the add button. Anyonee here hve any idea what is going on? If I can't sign in to my account using windows, I will not be able to activate windows.

Thanks.

Brian's Mail list account BY <bglists@...>

Are you trying to hive off all emails from this list into another folder so you can sort them at your leisure, rather than having them all come into your inbox?
I do not know thunderbirds rules myself, but it should be possible as I note that all the mail delivered to us from this list have the list email address in the to line of the header. I'd imagine creating a folder called nvda mail list and then a rule that basically says, if the to line contains the name of the list, move it to the folder specified, and not for getting to tell it to stop processing any other rules you may have created, should fis it.I'll let a Tbird expert deal with where and how, but most email software has this feature assuming use of pop3. It is not usually possible on IMAP or web mail, but I do think Googles web interface can do this and more, so you should be fine on other platforms.

Hi all,

I'm thinking of upgrading to Windows 10, probably during my summer holiday of this year, and I'm wondering, will Windows Defender be good enough? I have Sandboxie and VMware installed (anything I think is suspicious I either run them in Sandboxie or VMware). I'm giving Nod32 a particular attention as I do have access to a licensed copy through my university.

If Windows Defender is not good enough, is Nod32 (any version) accessible with NVDA? In terms of being able to read and properly interact with alert dialogs and settings windows.

Hi Lisa, I just tried the newest NVDA snapshot with edge & the tab key worked for going link by link & several of the quick access keys also worked, like they use in internet explorer.

Subject: [nvda] does NVDA work with the Edge browser in Win10

Hi,
I loved finding out that with some playing you can use the Win10 mail
program with NVDA. Are there any tricks that will allow us to use Edge?
Or, do you think there are any future plans to make that possible? Thanks.

Can any one tell me if the plu gins for NVDA and Sibelius 8 is working with the plug ins with NVDA and Sibelius? I am trying to chase up Keven who have done a lot of "work in this area.
My poor old Toshiba is over 7 years old and is struggling. I will need to upgrade
My Windows machine to a newer and lighter model.

Ok hope to hear from you.
