No did not work here either, but then there have been issues on and off on snapshots like this as well, so I just put it down to new code that needed the new code to actually detect the update, kind of catch 22 issue. The question is though if its unable to test at start up how come it can do it from the help menu?

The site looked a bit like it was built by several people all of whom did not talk to each other. i am sure there is a log in link on that page in firefox anyway.

I went into the NVDA menu and then to help. Then I arrowed down to "check for update" and downloaded it that way.

They are using dragon and other softwares but dragon choaks on all of their systems when it comes to reading back what was spoken. Basically I need to hear as I talk what was spoken and I have 5 seconds to edit any istakes out and send it to the deaf person. Look up captioncall.com I think I spelled that right. I am trying to contac their hr department for a follow up as I passed the tests but those are the issues they are runnig into. It's ben a month by the way since I passed the tests. I shoudl be in training by now, I think?

The automatic download check didn't
appear to work as I didn't get a notice a new version was
available. First I knew about it was when I checked my email.
When I went to nvda menu, help, and check for updates, then it
came up immediately and all is good. Just wondering why it didn't
come up when I first started up this morning. Roger

For some reason, when I returned to the
browser, I was able to get some of the buttons to read. I now see a play
and a download button. So you don't have to answer the questions I
asked, This is while in browse mode. I'm not sure what caused me to
see the buttons with descriptions.
I just tried every way I know to get
the button to work and it doesn't. That's using firefox and
NVDA.
I don't know what would happen if
someone tried with a physical mouse and the NVDA read what's under the mouse
feature. Also, I mean that I tried every way using the keyboard and NVDA's
virtual mouse. I haven't experimented with a mouse pad or physical
mouse.

issue with chrome back or forward pages?

Hello.
I need your help. I can't figure out what's going on ... for those who are using google chrome 64 version. are any of you having trouble with the command keys alt left or right arrow to back or forward pages. Since I did the update, I can't use the shortcut keys alt + left or right arrow to go back or forward pages in chrome. This happens with the 2017.4 version, or the new release 2018.1 These are the versions with NVDA. the same issue also is real with JAWS 2018. some tips? thanks. Please ensure that you run WSR once and setup the macros utility for WSR. That utility creates the macros folder. You need to place the macros file into this folder.

I tried it in all 3 browsers I have: I.E. Firefox and Edge and none of the download buttons work. I can change to edit mode and get them to read the correct labels, but when trying to activate them, nothing works.
