Hi David,
This message sounds fine. This is confusing. Frankly, I don't know what is happening. Maybe it was a mail transfer issue; some server screwed up somewhere one time.

You know I would really like nvda to speak whenn enter is pressed to make a new line in thunderbird and notepad and other things even if I have commannd keys disabled.

Also punctuation when I say delete a . it doesn't say it all the time I have the level set on some but I really do want it read if I start killing it. when I hit backspace in thunderbird it may not anounce the first 3 or so chars and I may end killing something I don't want. Its ok if I hit delete and it only happens at the end of lines however as long as I am carefull.

Another difference between the Codefactory and Tifflatechnia versions is that with Codefactory, if you want to use it on a portable copy, you have to activate it on every single PCs you want to use, and deactivate it afterwords, whereas with Tifflatechnia version, you only need to activate your USB/portable drive and it will work. I've tested this on computers in my college and Tifflatechnia version worked very well, without reactivation.

NVDA Con
Hi, First, I would like to say thank you very much to everyone who helped organize the NVDA Con 2016. Though I was unable to participate in all sessions due to classes and other matters, I still enjoy participating nonetheless, in all sessions that I was able to participate in. NVDA Con, in my opinion, is not just a chance for NVDA users and developers to meet, but it is also an opportunity to get to know each other amongst NVDA users from around the world. To be honest, right after the conference, or rather during the conference, I have an idea in mind. If NVDA Con International was able to be successfully organized, I should be able to try to organize a NVDA Con Thailand, or even better, NVDA Con Asean. But I'll most likely start with NVDA Con Thailand. The first step, of course, is to conduct a feasibility study, mainly finding out how many NVDA users are there in Thailand. If the study reveals that there are enough NVDA users in Thailand to make a NVDA Con worthwhile, then comes the big part, planning and organizing the conference itself. As it is mainly for Thailand, there is a choice between physical venues and Teamtalk, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. Perhaps even a NVDA workshop for Thais who are not familiar with NVDA is possible as one of the programs in the conference, if a feasibility study reveals that it is worthwhile organizing.

Actually NVDA does not ALLOWS to show line numbers on display braille. If it is necessary, a solution could be an add-on with a shortcut to toggle the report of line number. Cheers. Chris. ilanvpnina@gmail.com, 03/05/2016 14:36:

Re: Putting Basic Training for NVDA manual on to DAISY player

Hi Lindy, Sorry, I meant "Text Files", not notes. Initially it didn't see the ePub file in my DTB folder either. I just tried again and it did see it, read the title, gave a "Media error 1" then a "Book error 1" and then says 0 titles. I'm just testing my SD card to make sure there isn't a physical problem with it, otherwise it's something to do with either the way the Stream reads ePub books or the specific book. Regards Quentin.

Hi Lindy,
Theoretically the VR Stream should be able to read ePub files. ePub is actually a lot more complex format than it seems from the outside. I'm not 100% sure whether the issue is with the way the Stream reads ePub files, or the way I've created the ePub file. I'll keep working on it, but for now I can confirm that the HTML version of the text reads fine, you need to place it in the $VRText folder, and navigate to "Notes" to find it.
Kind regards
Quentin.
