Re: Translation add-on

As a temperary solution go to blindaudiogames.com
Ian reed has written the jgt addon which works for japanese games, you will need a username and password on his site as he is paying for the translations for these games and the translations are cached on his server.
He eventually hopes to have all the translated japanese games at least on his server making as little requests to google as he can.
Its not an official nvda addon but it works, another unofficial addon which is on the jeff.tdrealms.com nvda site with all the others is if interpriters by nick stockman or is it stockton.
This handles glulx and a few other interpriters this one is not official and has not had updates for a while but its good.
The only thing one needs to do with winfrotz is to start the program first before opening a game with glulx this is fine.
Sadly google translate will not work by addon but you should still be able to translate webpages, there is a user limit on it to.

Hi! Yes you are right! The addon has stopped working because of
following reason:
The instant translate addon uses Google Translate API to translate text
across language. Now Google has changed the API and the addon can't use it.
The addon can't work until Google change the API again or the addon
author find another translate API.

I don't think that there is an alternative addon available at this time.
I suggest you to use other translation software such as QTranslate.
Hope that will help!

Just Outlook, but also Hotmail and another account I can't remember. WLM will not be affected with gmail accounts imported into it at all.

Hi, I got the ad on that somebody suggested on this list, and it does not seem to be able to add place markers in documents that you can edit.  What I was specifically looking for, was some way of keeping my place in a document even after I closed the file out but the basic form of notepad does not seem to be able to do this.  Any more ideas?

Brian, are you using object navigation, document review, or screen review?

In object navigation/review, it also reports no formatting to me, but, with either document review - think that's the default for web pages - or screen review, it does - just not colour information in IE.

Stay well

The next question is whether other screen-readers see formatting information in Chrome.  This may be a failing in Chrome and have nothing to do with the screen-reader.  I may check that later.

Gene,

I thought I had tried this in both Firefox and Chrome, but now that I've made sure I've done both this appears to be some sort of issue with how NVDA and Chrome play together.  I am getting the expected result in Firefox.  I am always in an area with text visible where I can see the mouse pointer over it before I route NVDA to the location of the mouse pointer in either case.

I haven't tested enough to say anything definite.  but on the one page I tested with Firefox, I saw formatting information.  On the page I tested with Chrome, I didn't.  Is this one more instance of Chrome not implementing accessibility as it should?

I don't know why you get that response.  I tried it before I sent my message.  What browser are you using?  I don't see why that would matter but I'm asking anyway.  Where were you on the web page when you issued the command?  Again, if you are somewhere on the page, and not in something like the address bar, I would expect the command to work.

I know, in word, for example, it will include colour info in formatting string, but, doesn't seem to happen in internet explorer - just tested, and it does in firefox, but, I, unfortunately, at times use both for testing things.

Either way, now that just tried it out in both, seems like it's an issue with IE, so, will bear that in mind before checking on any dynamic style changes, etc.

Re: question regarding windows live mail

I can confirm that based upon Microsoft's own support release regarding the "change to outlook.com mail infrastructure" it is only their own e-mail addresses, which are those ending in @hotmail.com, @live.com, @msn.com, and @outlook.com that are affected as far as no longer being compatible with WLM 2012.

If your e-mail service provider continues to use either IMAP or POP either one is fully supported in WLM 2012 (and since it's not being updated except for security fixes it will continue to be supported in WLM 2012).

Hi, to the moderators of the list, why do you allow and advertise the codefactory addon if it is so buggy. Many have complained, and no answers have been given. Just about everyone who has bought the addon has complained of sound crackling, and I have a super complaint. When I install the addon it kills my other vocalizer addon, and removes it from the synthesizer list. Are you guys just not giving a care because you get 10% of the sale, or what. People spend good money for a voice and they expect it to work. I appreciate nvda and the work put in to it, it works great, but these people are slow to respond to tickets, and if you call them during over-seas business hours, the tech support team says they will open a trouble ticket and plays dumb like the issue hasn't hardly been reported

Hello!

As I don't know to wich message you're replying...

There are two different Vocalizer Expressive addons. One from Tiflotecnia, the oldest, and one from Code Factory.

It seems that after the instalation of bothe Code Factory addons, Vocalizer and Eloquence, our Vocalizer Expressive don't work. It is strange, since I have both in my machine...
