Hi. It depends upon which version of the QT framework is being used. As far as I know, The earlier versions, up to version 4 of the framework in question is sketchy at best, when it comes to accessibility. QT5, the latest and most up-to-date version is now much more accessible out of the box. Cheers!

Greetings Chris,
Thank you for contacting us. I have discussed it with our developers, and I have also researched the NVDA and Cobra screen readers, and it is our opinion that the problem is caused by the new interface for SFAS 12. The new version uses QT framework, and from what I have found, there are many, many complaints from seeing impaired users about difficulties with screen readers interacting with QT framework. I would recommend writing the makers of the screen readers and ask them if they know of an incompatibility issue with QT framework. Of course, if there is, we would be happy to refund your purchase. If you would like, I could send you a trial version of Sound Forge Audio Studio 10...I know it's a bit older, but it uses a different framework, and should work much better with screen reading software. If you want to try that, let me know, and I'll be happy to set it up.
??e apologize to you for the inconvenience of that. I personally see it as a big problem, and I will talk with our developers about what we can do in the future to change this--it should be our goal as a company to make sure all of our programs can function properly when used with a screen reading interface. ??e thank you for your time, and we will await your response. In the meantime, have a great day!

I misinterpreted your original question entirely. I thought you were somehow trying to take a file of text and run some sort of converter on it to make an image, which you can't really do. You used one of the easiest ways to take text and insert it into an image file, even if that image is strictly of the text. --

Sure, you can. You could do this locally with an oCR package, probably, even if you have to take an extra conversion step from the .tif image file or whatever. This online tool has good reviews, so it’s probably decent. Haven’t tried it, but maybe it’ll get you started. https://convertio.co/txt-jpg/

So at least for the moment they are leaving us alone who knows how long that is but still.
I have not as yet tried this.
The nvda skype group didn't have much traffic and I was thinking of pulling out anyway.
Skype isnot a real issue for me as I hardly use it.
Skype web via miranda works for text, now if I can use it to call skype then fine I guess.
There is zello but I have never figured it out as such.
On the other side those of us on android and ios devices will still be able to use skype,.
This seems to effect desktops, that is windows, mac and linux only.
For group chats there is teamtalk, and tthub.org <http://tthub.org/> are offering competitive rates right now.
I am interested though in some kind of voip or sip app that is easy to use, accessible and can use as a protocol skype calls, messages, groups and file shares which are the only things I ever use.
If that can be done and if I can login with my skype account then fine.
Right now skype classic still works.
Eventually that may die but who knows.
The skype interface with miranda ng is a bit different, I will have to get used to it but right now well.
I don't use skype enough to justify upgrading to anything new, I barely use that much of skype's power as it is.
