Re: why is thunderbird marking all new messages as read?

There is an add on, I don't recall if it’s a
Thunderbird add on or an NVDA add on, that makes rearranging columns
reasonable. I don't use Thunderbird and I don't know how you do it with
the add on but its supposed to be easy or not difficult.

It's also accessible almost to a fault (though rearranging the order of the columns displayed in your various folders can be a big PITA, but since it's generally a "one and done" sort of thing that's a minor issue, in my opinion). -- Brian - Windows 10 Home, 64-Bit, Version 1803, Build 17134 A little kindness from person to person is better than a vast love for all humankind. ~ Richard Dehmel

Re: [SUSPECTED SPAM] Re: [nvda] chrome not that accessible in m.facebook.com
Ervin, Glenn
Funny though, I always use the mobile site too, and it works well, and I sent a link to my sighted brother to have him look at the picture to see if this was our cousin, and he said the link I sent him gave him a page that was messed up on his computer. He said it was a page for a person with that name, but he could not make sense of it.
So maybe the mobile site is not good for people not using a screenreader.

m.facebook.com Hi folks
I am making my first steps with chrome.
I find that sometimes buttons and elements are not clickable in
m.facebook.com and that the tab key is not always responding normally.
F.e. if you click on a friend and wants him or her to be defriended, you
can’t find that item or click the friend or follow button. I have already
changed some settings like adding some accessibility tools to read webpages with
the arrow keys and disabled the hardware accelerators which often is advised
when working with screenreaders.

Re: NVDA and Edge browser
Hi, If it is strictly NVDA side, I hope it can be addressed soon. As it might be UIA, I don’t know when it’ll get addressed. This problem with one character per line is the reason for not using social networking sites with Edge at the moment. Cheers, Joseph

Re: PDF t9 Word keeping footnotes
Jonathan COHN
Hello,
Yes either Daisy, NIMAS or ePub is more likely to have appropriate markup for footnotes. I believe most textbooks in the US are supposed to be available in the NIMAS accessible format. The Braille Blaster program can convert NIMAS files directly into Braille documents. You can read a bit more about NIMAS at: http://aem.cast.org/creating/national-instructional-materials-accessibility-standard-nimas.html The Daisy and ePub standards are now pretty much merged, and since the Edge browser will act as a ePub reader, that might work for reviewing your documents if you can get them in that format. I believe that PDF documents that conform to PDF-UA should also have navigable footnotes. The problem with pdf is that it was initially designed to provide different printers with the ability to produce the same page output no matter the printer and accessibility needs were only added later when the US Government started supplying documents and forms in PDF. Best Wishes, Jonathan Cohn
