Ok, have you checked the task bar settings in the settings applet? I have the task bar to hide automatically in desktop and tablet mode. IN addition, I have told widows 10 to never combine task bar buttons. Pranab

Hi, I am using NVDA latest version and Thunderbird 60.
Now, when I am composing new email and if I have attached files to the email, if I tap after the subject field to read the attachments, NVDA didn't read the file names. I am not sure if this is a NVDA bug or thunderbird bug. William

Re: Updated the accessible applications wiki again.
I added the free version to the wiki. I really don't want to promote paid software on the wiki because accessibility could break later. I plan on adding a few more links either Friday or Saturday but for now, the free version of OE Classic has been added to the wiki. 2.9 will be even more accessible, by the way.

Re: Microsoft office 2019accessibility
Quentin Christensen
Hi Robert, I just replied to someone else with pretty much this, but sometimes things just come through as improved UX rather than accessibility specifically. Spell check in Word 365 for instance, is vastly better than it used to be - you get the context of an error and the error spelt now, and when moving through alternate spellings, it automatically reads definitions. Of course, change can also take some getting used to, and comes with the possibility of breaking things (for instance, alt+letter accelerator keys don't work in spell check now, although as long as you aren't on the edit box, you can now press the letter without alt). The other thing of course, is that I can tell you what Office 365 is like right now, but no guarantee of what it will be like this time next year...

Re: MS Office
Quentin Christensen
Hi Don, Microsoft are regularly updating Office 365. So, while you may be wary of that if you aren't a fan of change, they are improving some things. For instance, spell check in Word is much better now than it used to be in Word 2013 - you get the context of an error and the error spelt again, when moving through alternate words, it automatically reads the definition etc. Of course, change introduces the possibility of things breaking as well, but on the whole, I like Office 365, yes. Regards Quentin.

Re: In-Process 29th August 2018
hurrikennyandopo ...
Hi Quentin
I went back to beta 2 and beta 1 they still have the same problem. they only also have 56 files in the main directory.. they were downloaded from the nvda developers snap shot page at https://www.nvaccess.org/files/nvda/snapshots/ I beleave the location has not moved?? as that is where i have been downloading them from.
There is no add ons at all in these versions of nvda and i just now went in and disabled all add on etc in fire fox aprt from add blocker as it does not cause problems with alfa or stable.

Hi Quentin Even with that program turned off when you go to open the browser or even the user manual in nvda it crashes. There even in the portable version should not only be 53 files in the main directory. It does not crah as mentioned before in the stable version or the alfa. Yet the other browsers work nice with it. I might go back and try previous versions of the beta. to see if the same problem is there. I just can not remember i know when it was reported first i think it was a 2018.3 beta 3 release.
