Hello,

What's up with ccleaner? I've got an update and now when in the
cleaner tab either applications or windows tab nothing indicates
whether it is on or not, I don't know what items are going to be
removed. Has anyone else seen this?

Thanks.

Hi!
Thanks for the info below about CCleaner 5.46, with the Dropbox link to the

new .ini file.
Talking of links, would it be possible to post one here where we can easily

get the portable version of CCleaner, please? When my current portable
version tells me there is an update, I'm taken to the Piriform site when I
hit the "yes" button, and I can't find a download link for portable CCleaner

there. Doing a Google search brings up different results every time, and the

sites in the Google search results can be confusing anyway.
Thanks in advance for your reply.

Hi all portable ccleaner users.

Here is the updated ini file if you don't want to bother with it.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/m15toyhbsmdy5fb/ccleaner.ini?dl=1

For those that want to know what is changed.

options/privacy needs to be reset because the preffs string is different.

The only other thing I have done is clear out the version strings that
existed in there and rebuilt the ics program version string data.

For all the rest, while you can get the slim installer now I have
portable it just works.

Things that have been changed include fixing the privacy setting issues
with extra info added for that option including more datashheets for it.

The adjusting of the monitering so it says smart cleaning instead to
explain what it does.

If you turn off smart cleaning ccleaner shouldn't stay loaded at startup
anymore.

There is supposed to be a checkbox revamp and some more descriptions but
I have yet to see any change, and to be honest now that I can use
portable easily enough I don't know if I will ever go back to installed
ever again.

Do you know what is updating after you say yes?  People have given suggestions.  If they don't work, whatever is presenting the question may be inaccessible and I don't know if there is anything, other than the app itself correcting the problem, that can be done.

both tips do not work.
in this case it was skype, it was mentioned that it was an app with a

does anyone have another idea?
Or would it be an idea to build in a key combination here in nvda?

I think it's important to know what app or programm will update.
I want to know the name before I say yes or no.

Claire,

You need to explain more clearly what you mean by "only gives me one track at a time."  You should be able to open as many tracks as you wish from the Tracks menu or File Menu for pre-recorded material and then work on each of them relative to the others, as in being able to slide the voice part to wherever in the section of music you want it to start, and to apply filters to each.

Below is the link for the enhancer file, which will allow more cleaning options and otherwise. It should work on portable versions. I've also included a link to Puran Utilities, an accessible revo uninstaller alternative. Puran is not portable. I believe it is open source though? Not sure. Puran is also like a system mechanic, but accessible. It hasn't been updated in a while though, but I have yet to find a program as good.

can not get the add on to work with the United States locations. How
do I get it to work cause whenever I type in a US city it comes up
with a different zip code that is not in the US. Is this add on
supposed to work with in the United States or is it something if only
you are in the UK. For example if I type in San Diego California the
zip code is 92107 I try to set that as my city for some reason it is
not taking it. So how can I get this to work?

This assumes that you know how to move tracks in Audacity:

Position the music track above the voice track

Position the voice track where you want it to begin in relation to the music track

The music track should be selected and the voice track unselected

Press j then shift-k on the music track

Enter the Effects menu with alt-c then press Enter on Autoduck

Re: NVDA PORTABLE

Antony Stone

You could alternatively try downloading the last version of NVDA which
supported Windows 7 without Service Pack 1.

a) that should get you working on this machine, albeit with an older version
of NVDA, until you can install SP1, then you can upgrade NVDA

b) you can then check for yourself, without needing sighted help, whether SP1
is installed or not.

You can download that version from:
https://www.nvaccess.org/download/nvda/releases/2017.3/nvda_2017.3.exe

Well, since you can't currently run NVDA on the machine, you'll need a
sighted helper to look for you. They need to start from Control Panel and
then click on "System and Security" and then "System".

Under the heading "Windows edition", it'll say which version of Windows 7
is installed (eg: Home Premium), and underneath that it will say "Service
Pack 1" if it is installed.

I remember that became a requirement for some version of NVDA a while

Is your windows 7 version at least sp1 or is it a very early version?

Re: ccleaner new version

Oh man, I broke my main system Friday trying to get rid of the evil thing that is Avast! To make a long story short, I was trying to stop it from starting up so I could do the manual uninstall. I went into MSConfig in order to do that and instead of disabling just the Avast services, somehow I managed to disable everything.

I used to use MSConfig when it was just the list of programs starting up and then a way to stop them. Well now it still gives you the list but then it says either enable all or disable all.

By unwanted they mean avast anti virus, usually a couple of hours after you installed ccleaner. Then you need avastclear to get rid of it so it does not self install again later after you uninstall it.

Only use the portable version or the slim version.  The other versions are likely to install unwanted programs in additional to the actual software.

Can you please provide a link to the latest portable version? I tried
Googling it and there were several links there, but I tried them all and
none of them seemed to work.  I found the download button but when I
activate it it just clicks and shows a screen shot of the Ccleaner
itself but no download occurred on any of those links I found.

Thanks.

Hi all portable ccleaner users.

Here is the updated ini file if you don't want to bother with it.

For those that want to know what is changed.

options/privacy needs to be reset because the preffs string is different.

The only other thing I have done is clear out the version strings that
existed in there and rebuilt the ics program version string data.

For all the rest, while you can get the slim installer now I have
portable it just works.

Things that have been changed include fixing the privacy setting
issues with extra info added for that option including more
datashheets for it.

The adjusting of the monitering so it says smart cleaning instead to
explain what it does.

If you turn off smart cleaning ccleaner shouldn't stay loaded at
startup anymore.

There is supposed to be a checkbox revamp and some more descriptions
but I have yet to see any change, and to be honest now that I can use
portable easily enough I don't know if I will ever go back to
installed ever again.
