Hello. I was wondering what is the latest version of the virtual audio

cable software to work with NVDA and I did go to the website and could

not get that to launch which is version 43 and I tried an older version

think it was 15 I did install that version and I had to get my husband

who is sighted to completely uninstall the older version to get my sound

back that is so weird how when the computer restarted the sounds were

disabled. So he had to uninstall the older version 15 and I got my sound

back. I did install the add on but is there another program that would

work in recording music or whatever from the  computer that does work

with NVDA I did try audacity but no luck there. How about gold wave and

since am on windows 10 with the latest update from the spring 2018

update to the current version what would work as to what I have it is

getting harder to find anything that is accessible. So any help would be

awesome. Thank you.

Secondly, as far as the latest Skype is concern, it is Skype 8.30.0.50

As the old version of skype stopped running, even the shortcuts that we used to use aren’t any longer used for other new versions.

For those USA phone #s, I've done the email to SMS back and forth, but you
need to get the other person to tell you their carrier's name.
Like you said, you can't guess, especially when they carried their # between
carriers.

Well, I can't tell you for outside the US, but I can't imagine that they
don't. But perhaps it is using another company's towers.
For example, I'm on Selectel, yet I use the Verizon domain.
So it's likely using the domain for who's towers it rides on.

When I booted into safe mode, I tried to bring up narrator in the usual way. It showed up on the screen, but there was no sound. I had a sighted person around at the time for testing purposes. So I tried to install the registry patch, but couldn't get it to install.

Hi,

I tried using the windows one core voice with NVDA today. I tried
increasing the rate of speech but even at 100% the rate was slower
than I would like.

The same voice, Microsoft David, can be set to a much faster rate when
using narrator. With narrator, I could get David to speak almost as
fast as espeakNG.



Has anyone else noticed this and figured out a way around this?
