Often though either a restart of nvda or a complete system restart is needed as it gets confused somewhere. Probably so many routines looking at keys, one of them tends to get stuck.

times quickly to "unstick" it (it probably isn't physically stuck, it's

In productions environments, the Python console should not be enabled. It's highly a security risk!
Just in Alpha and Beta versions the function should be it enabled by default only.

Yes the audio theme add on is pushing out lots of errors about unsupported code at the moment, perhaps the author can fix that problem, but I'm not convinced that this is the whole story of momentary hang ups in Windows generally.

Starting without any add-ons it works well again.

It seems that's from an add-on. I told about that in another thread int he NVDA add-on list. Obviously, it is the add-on AudioTheme3D. Hopefully, the add-on author reads it it anyway..

Perhaps, if an add-on causes an error and NVDA prints those errors into the log file it could be lagging heavily when the log file gets over millions of lines.

NVDA could tell a security message about it, when is swamred over with errors in the log file.
Either, an further option to disable log levels could be helpful in a production environment.

However, I thought those two points are different but the are not.

Are you sure its not windows that is doing this?
I'm sure I've heard this before about another screenreader, and coincidences worry me a little.

Is there anything known about that NVDA freezes sometimes irregularly while reading or navigating in multiline text fields like in Mushclient output window, Editor (Notepad) and Notepad++?

It happens apparently with all latest and recent NVDA versions in Windows 10 Version 1803 Build 17134.285 here, and using a Focus 40 Blue via USB.

Well the latest itunes business is 12.6.5 now but yeah, anything over 2.6 will not have the app store though you can manage apps on your device.

At some point you will have to update itunes because while your version of itunes supports up to ios11 apple does not say if that will include future versions so at some point it may not work correctly.

Hello,

I have Windows ten and a real tech soundcard, it has stereo mix, but, if
you follow my set up details for WA sappie, all should work,
Just to repeat, press the Alt key and then right arrow to edit, up to
preferences and press enter, make sure you are on Devices in the list
and tab, if you are sure you don't have stereo mix then down arrow to
Windows WA sappie and tab twice to the recording list, choose speakers
loop bac, tab to OK and press enter, mine works fine.

I bought a y cable for the computer cause in the audacity manual it
said you can go from the line in port to the headphone jack then the
other part of the cable am going to hook up to the headphones. I have to

microphone did get sound mainly my voice it is not what I want and I
even disabled the line in and the microphone when in audacity, still
nothing. I even uninstalled and reinstalled it. It is tricky but I know
I can get it done.

I have had that happen on a few boards, and mostly its the board.

A large note on this is if you have a wireless board or mouse, I have had windows do a lot of strange things with the boards, them not working or windows thinking keys are pressed and other crazyness.

Usually the  battery lights are on or something, sadly the effected users never have the batteries.

And usually this issue happens at night, meaning all the stores are shut.

I have it so people have batteries in stock, else I need to order online and get the morning delivery.

Hmmm firstly remove your keyboard, and put another one in, could be a dirty keyboard.

Now some keyboards can be cleaned but if its got a problem you may have to replace it.

Some keyboards like my gaming board can get issues, and I just do a reflash of the firmware and it works again.

You may have a virus but that could be more than a key, a program or addon may need updating.

Your windows computer may need to be reformatted because windows is breaking and a good reformat will stop it being broken, note, windows will still break from time to time forcing you to reformat to get it working but don't try to fix it, the real errors are hard for me to fix,.

Hi René,

Thanks for the update.  Firstly, I'm glad you narrowed down the culprit.  As we move to try and make everything more robust, at this step of the way it's had the opposite effect with add-ons which haven't been updated recently.

We're also always looking at ways of optimising everything, including the log, so I'll pass on your thoughts.

Someone in a different thread mentioned changing the view in iTunes.  Have you tried that to any effect?

Hi Lino,

I can't see anything in there specific to iTunes.  Is the problem still happening?  If so, could you describe in more detail exactly what is not working, as well as which version of iTunes you have.  Also, this is perhaps not an issue any more if it ever was, but had you rebooted the computer after upgrading NVDA?  Sometimes weird things happen in between updating NVDA and rebooting the computer so it's always worth doing that to confirm whether something really doesn't work as it should, or if it is just a weirdness which goes away after restarting.
