Re: Spanish Support
Quentin Christensen
NVDA's "Speech" settings (Press NVDA+control+v) have an option for "Automatic language switching when supported". I don't use it too often, but if the language is specified in the page code, I believe it should switch as long as that setting is checked. The NVDA user guide notes that the setting only works with eSpeak. Regards Quentin.

Spanish Support
bestuiexperience
Hello, I am trying to test a multi-language application on a web page (i.e., it has paragraphs in various languages - French, Spanish, and other languages). I was wondering what software I need to have in order for it to switch languages based on the lang property in the <html> tag.

Re: suggestions
Quentin Christensen
There are several ways to provide suggestions and feedback for NVDA. The most official is the GitHub page: From that main page you can use the edit box to search for words relating to your suggestion or issue to see if it has come up before. EG: here are the results of a search for "bard": https://github.com/nvaccess/nvda/issues?utf8=%E2%9C%93&q=is%3Aissue+is%3Aopen+bard So nobody has yet filed an issue for Bard apparently. That can be done by using the "New Issue" button: https://github.com/nvaccess/nvda/issues/new On the new issue screen there are two edit boxes, one for the title (try to be descriptive but in about one line, eg "NVDA only reads part of the annotation in the BARD app" (I'm not personally familiar with the BARD app, so maybe someone who is would be more familiar with what you mean by annotation). The other edit box has instructions in it for what information to include, but basically follow the prompts in the text for what to include. You can also report issues here or by email to us (info@...). The advantage of reporting directly on GitHub is that not only NV Access staff see those, but other contributors to the project, who may be able to help and may have an interest in writing the particular code. The advantage of reporting issues here in the group is that if you are not sure whether something is a bug or not (eg if there is a trick to reading annotations in Bard that you are not aware of), someone will often read it sooner and be able to respond (if anyone knows). Regards Quentin.

The JAWS notes for PowerPoint under 'popular applications with JAWS' say that shift+control+n reads speaker notes.

Re: Virtual dub 2.
A few more accessibility improvements can be done. I've also been looking for a full list of keyboard commands but can't find any online, so I will have to create that document myself probably but everything can be done with the keyboard. A few sliders, in the video section of the preferences dialog do not read but I am sure a blind developer can fork virtual dub 2 and fix what little accessibility issues remain. I'll start making an online document somewhere that lists keyboard shortcuts.

I forgot all about the Mozilla Apps Enhancements add-on. I actually already had that add-on installed and I still did it the old way. Oh well, at least it's done. Hopefully next time I'll remember to use the NVDA-H Keystroke that the add-on provides.

Hi
There is now a add on you can install into nvda that will make it alot easier to change it.
You can get it from the official add on website which can be accessed through tools then manage add ons then tab to get addons and you can get it from there. I should put that up on that page as well. The older way still works werll.
