Re: Basic html for gmail

I tried that link earlier, but it does not give an option to make
basic html as default. There isn't an option in settings, either.

Trying to add a shortkey to gestures.ini

Anne Günther

Hi,
for my job I need to be able to jump to the end of a continously changing text via braille display. I put the following line at the end of the "gestures.ini" file, but it doesn't do anything.

kb:control+end ="br(handyTech.activeStar):b7"

What am I doing wrong? :-)

And its been reported from previous messages on this list. I got the impression its been optimised for use with phones, but not everyone wants to buy with a mobile device.

Does it show up in Jaws?

You can get to it with the navigator object, but you still can't click on it. It's been this way for at least a couple of months.

You are making the mistake of believing that language still is used reasonably precisely and that people are reasonably careful about how they use words.  English is becoming increasingly unclear.  I just did a google search looking for information about the new app, which is presumably in beta or soon will be.  I found nothing.  But I did find that Drop box routinely refers to its current desktop application as an app.  Just one more example of the decline of English.  So there is no way to know what the new app or application will be.  Do you have a place where we can read about it?  Since I find nothing with a Google search, that raises the question of how long it will be before this app or application is deployed.

I haven't had the guts to try the new desktop app to see what has changed and what stays the same. It will be the new app eventually, though. Replacing the current desktop app. They keep calling it an app, which already makes me sigh and roll my eyes because I assume it means, windows Metro app.

Re: Moving by Page in Word

This was the solution. If you find something and then wish to go to the next page, press F5 and then press the next page button. After that the shortcut key will be set back to normal. No advanced macro required.

Hi

I use Word 2007 and you can use f5 to activate the

GoTo dialog.  If you backtab, you can access a listbox that has all the types of things you can search on, which includes “Page”.  I think this is the same thing as is below the scroll bar mentioned by another list member.

Cheers

I know that the shortcut to move to the next page in Word is Ctrol+page down. For some reason, though, when I have NVDA loaded this shortcut does not seem to work. Does anyone no a reason/solution? I'm using MS Word 2016.

So I am not the only one this has been happening to. This seems to
work best on the phone at the moment. I don't even know how Amazon
broke this.

Re: Moving by Page in Word

Rick

Hello Kelby:

Actually, Ctrl+PageDown executes the BrowseNext command. What this does depends on the "browse object" currently selected. When you first start Word, this is set to "Browse by Page," so the command executes Next Page. When you use the Find dialog, then BrowseNext  becomes Next Find/Go To. In order to change back to page, one needs to click a Select Browse Object button (between the two "browse arrows" at the bottom of the vertical scroll bar) and choose "Browse by Page." Unfortunately, I have not found a way to click this button, since it requires a mouse.

However, the following link provides a way to permanently disable this behavior. It requires adding a macro to normal.dot.

I do know this much about bitcoin. It all depends on where you transfer
them after you buy them. The exchange, the service that converted your
currency to BTC, can keep them for you. However, this is not secure
because quite a few exchanges have been hacked over the years.

You can also transfer them to a hardware and/or software wallet. I
haven't actually bought bitcoin, so I really don't know the state of
software wallets when it comes to being usable with NVDA. It might be
something worth experimenting with, with an extremely small amount of
Bitcoin.

I'm writing a storyline for my creative writing course and it involves
Bitcoins ... I figure it's probably best to get an idea of the process

I was hoping the initial email would have an email address to reply to
but I could not find any. Looks like they are making a new desktop app.
I hope someone on here has emails and phone numbers to let them know
about the accessibility issues that I am sure, will plague the new
desktop app. If anybody wants to try it, the link is below.

What is this about?
I just use the folders, is this not how its done? The whole thing is surely going to integrate with windows menus as it does now??
I rely on integration of dropbox for most of what I do, so they had better not screw it.
The current one still has issues on prefs and login and share panels in my windows 7 machine.

Hi all.

Here is another version of ccleaner.ini

I am going to try to contact piriform support to for one thing tell them about the issues with quickclean, the fact there is no way to turn it off and even if I turn it off it will turn itself back on.
