clicking on "links."

I use Becky! email and with either JFW or Window-Eyes, I can route
either cursor to main cursor and "left click" on any link and it brings
up my browser from which I can proceed to . . . whatever. :)
Not using NVDA. If I "move to focus" and left click, I get variable
results. Anyone have any ideas how I can get the same result with this
wonderful screen reader?

Hi Gene,

You have a website that has lots of accessibility helps. You have mentioned it before and I have actually looked at it before.  I can't find it now and a friend is needing help learning how to use Windows 10.

Could you please refresh my mind on how to get to it? ;)

Thanks.

This is strange.
Although I saved basic html as default, when I return to my gmail
account standard view still comes up and I have to click on the button
for basic html.
As I said earlier, I do this with JAWS as NVDA does not see the button
at the top of standard view.

I used JAWS to click on that button which

default.
Whether the screen layout was on or of did not matter.
Having a second screen reader as a back up certainly helps.

google and basic html

Hi.

If you choose to switch to standard view there is only a couple ways to switch back to basic.

1. chrome allows you to switch back, firefox/waterfox will not, and ie does probably because it is old or something who knows.

If all you are using is gmail and settings I wouldn't bother with standard view, its aparently accessible but basic html is more usable to me at any rate.

I don't care about 99.9% of google's features though I just want to make sure I check spam, read mail, etc.

Hi, Kelby. Go to the top of the page, then turn on focus mode with NVDA+space, then tab through until you find the "buy with one click" or "buy now" button, whichever one you find, then hit enter. that should do it. Tab is definitely your best friend in this case.

Hi,
for my job I need to be able to jump to the end of a continously changing text via braille display. I put the following line at the end of the "gestures.ini" file, but it doesn't do anything.

kb:control+end ="br(handyTech.activeStar):b7"

What am I doing wrong? :-)

You can get to it with the navigator object, but you still can't click on it. It's been this way for at least a couple of months.

Re: Be the first to try a new Dropbox desktop app

You are making the mistake of believing that language still is used reasonably precisely and that people are reasonably careful about how they use words.  English is becoming increasingly unclear.  I just did a google search looking for information about the new app, which is presumably in beta or soon will be.  I found nothing.  But I did find that Drop box routinely refers to its current desktop application as an app.  Just one more example of the decline of English.  So there is no way to know what the new app or application will be.  Do you have a place where we can read about it?  Since I find nothing with a Google search, that raises the question of how long it will be before this app or application is deployed.

I haven't had the guts to try the new desktop app to see what has changed and what stays the same. It will be the new app eventually, though. Replacing the current desktop app. They keep calling it an app, which already makes me sigh and roll my eyes because I assume it means, windows Metro app.
